𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗠𝗲 𝗜𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 takes place on Southbourne promenade, Bournemouth, Dorset on 27.09.26, with a 𝑟𝘰𝑐𝘬 𝘯 𝘳𝑜𝘭𝑙 start 8-9:30am 🕶🦻🏻💐

The route offers unrivalled coastal views of the 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘞𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘺, 𝘏𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘺 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥 & 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦 on the beach hut-lined route. It's suitable for beginners & speedsters alike as it's a flat, tarmacked, 'out and back'. Trudging slowly over wet sand? Not a bit of it! This route is also 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗨𝗞𝗖𝗠, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 if you're looking to add one to your collection! Participants choose their own distance on the day, from 5K to Ultra-Marathon 🌊⛱️🩴👟

Here's the run profile for Something To Talk About, which takes place on 20.09.26 @ Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre in Bransgore, New Forest. It's a technical but fun woodland trail with a looped lap of 3.4-ish miles & a flexible 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹 start between 9-10:30👣👟

Set in the grounds of Avon Tyrrell house (a calendar house - count all 365 windows⊞⊞⊞), you'll run through the forest, along the boardwalks & alongside the lakes. Keep your eyes peeled for the locals - owls, deer, horses & cows amongst others AND it's the perfect time of year to spot an abundance of different fungi 🦉🦌🐎🍄

The route takes in several interesting sections - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 (aka Wiggly Woods), 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹 & the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 - where you'll run over several bridges, several root-y sections, a couple of challenging descents & a variety of terrains 🏞🌉🪜

Our 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗗𝗠𝗖 (aid) station will be situated @ the start/end of each loop & will be stocked with sweet & savoury snacks & lots of hydration options. As usual, the roast potatoes & cheese will be front & centre! 🥔🧀

One thing's for sure - you'll certainly have 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 after a challenging but enjoyable day out.

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢!

Something To Talk About takes place on 20.09.26 @ 𝘈𝘷𝘰𝘯 𝘛𝘺𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦, Bransgore, Dorset. It’s a fabulous technical, undulating woodland trail course, taking in boardwalks & lakes & the sounds & sights of the 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵, with a Grade I listed 'calendar' manor house as a backdrop🌳🦌🍂🐦🌳

Zipping up his (Wellington) boots...introducing Simon Rigler, who'll be joining on the trails on 20th September (yes, 4 weeks!) @ Something To Talk About. Having done a bit of running in NZ myself, I can see why Simon's formative running experiences in Wellington were both inspiring & enduring 🥝⸙🇳🇿 Inspiration, right there!

Software tester by day, but it seems Simon is equally adept at applying logic to his running. Using the colder, darker months as a motivation to train for brighter spring events & create a mental boost while making a bit of progress seems to be the perfect plan. Enjoying the journey, not just the destination is a sage bit of advice for any runner.

Music-wise, Simon has a couple of very good shouts & for someone who fits in 100K/month (60 miles for the Imperialists) & who's aiming for over 50K @ Something To Talk About, 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 (indeed) 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 💥

⏮ 🆁🅴🆆🅸🅽🅳 ⏮ A selection of photos from last year's Something To Talk About, which returns for it's second iteration on 20.09.26. 𐦂𖨆𐀪𖠋𐀪𐀪 It was a day of 2 halves - a very wet morning, followed by a glorious afternoon on this fabulous route, where everyone had a great day. Cows, dear, owls & mushrooms spotted along the course!

We've got a few new plans in store & the Run DMC (aid) station will be heavily stocked, including the usual roast potatoes & cheese! 🥔🧀

Here's the current event list. Only a few weeks before our autumn events come around, then we have a couple of festive-themed runs closer to Christmas with Jingle Bell Run & Step into Christmas . Look out for our twilight event Starburster to see out January & then lots happening in the new year. As we head to marathon season we've got our first double event in the form of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, which comprises Space Oddity ⚡︎ @ Intergalactic.
