Today’s match ball is proudly sponsored in loving memory of Brian and Sheila Fairclough, whose dedication to Egerton Cricket Club spanned a lifetime.

Brian devoted countless years to the club, taking on almost every role imaginable.
From 1st XI and 2nd XI Captain, coach, junior manager, groundsman, committee member, chairman and president. His passion, leadership and tireless commitment helped shape the club we know today.

Alongside him every step of the way was Sheila, whose unwavering support and kindness were invaluable.

Together, Brian and Sheila embodied the true spirit of Egerton Cricket Club.

Though greatly missed, their legacy lives on in the club and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing them. Their contribution to Egerton will never be forgotten.

Forever remembered. Forever part of our cricket family 💚

RESULTS AND HIGHLIGHTS.. 🏏

Saturday |

1st XI travelled to Denton West, where the hosts posted 248. Jason Whittaker was the pick of the bowlers with an excellent spell of 3-21. In reply, we fell 44 runs short despite a superb innings of 74 (101) from Ankit Kalsi.

2nd XI hosted Stand, with the visitors bowling us out for 116. Josh Dziobon top-scored with an impressive 67. Stand reached the target comfortably, losing just two wickets.

Sunday |

The 3rd XI remain unbeaten after another excellent victory, this time over Little Hulton. We posted a commanding 237, led by a superb unbeaten 78 from Jenson Conlon, well supported by Paul Stafford (63) and Freddie Stafford (38).

Little Hulton were then bowled out for 104, with Aiden Constantine (3-19) and Andy Ormrod (2-14) leading the bowling attack.

An outstanding all-round team performance.

The Development XI were beaten by Heywood after the hosts posted 170. Jarvis Conlon (2-21) and Oscar Moody (2-32) were the standout bowlers.

In reply, we finished 42 runs short, despite valuable contributions from Safi (32), John Conlon (33) and Arthur Holden (28).
