🌳✨ A fun-filled day at Haigh Woodland Park! ✨🌳

We had an amazing time getting stuck into lots of fun activities! We showed off our mini-golf skills⛳️, enjoyed some time in the park 🛝, got creative with den building 🪵🏕️ and, of course… the most important activity of the day… ICE CREAM / SWEET TIME! 🍦😋🎉

Please note, our pool will be closed for annual maintenance, Monday 17th - Friday 21st August. Swim lessons are taking place as normal this week and will resume post closure on Saturday 22nd August.

Our NPLQ Lifeguarding Course provides the training and knowledge needed to become a qualified pool lifeguard.

As Drowning Prevention Week comes to a close, we'd like to remind everyone of the importance of staying safe in and around water. 🌊

Drowning is preventable. By following the Water Safety Code and making safe choices around water, we can all help prevent accidents and save lives.

A big thank you to all our swimmers who took part in water safety activities this week and learned valuable skills to help keep themselves and others safe.

🌊 We're supporting 2026 🌊

From 13–20 June, we're joining the national water safety campaign led by RLSS UK to help raise awareness of the importance of staying safe around water.

Throughout the week, our BSS Leisure swimming lessons will focus on essential water safety knowledge and lifesaving skills, helping children build confidence and make safer choices in and around water. 🛟🏊

Don't forget to bring your pyjamas to swimming! As part of our water safety activities, swimmers will have the opportunity to experience swimming in clothing, helping them understand how it feels and how to stay safe if they ever unexpectedly enter the water fully clothed.

Together, we can help equip young people with the skills they need to enjoy water safely this summer. ☀️💦
