Something about these two pictures just resonates with me.

Coming from renting gym space to training out of a garage (some of the best memories btw) to getting our own place and subsequently outgrowing it rapidly, to then upgrading units has just been such a rollercoaster.

When we decided to open a gym I wanted it to reflect, well me. I’ve trained in so many different gyms; from dingy dungeon types to “state of the art” facilities and everything in between.

I wanted something simply in between. Not a s**t hole but nothing overly sterile and clinical. Just a solid environment, a good selection of kit, some quality bars and a tonne of characters to represent the place.

I ain’t about selling out. I’m not arsed about the latest trends or fads or what’s flavour of the week. I’ve got my own principles and I’ll stick to my guns and when the dust settles or the next fad comes around we’ll still be here doing what we do best 💪🏽 🤪

Never really thought about this before until mentioned it this morning.

As a lot of members know, I’m a bit of a bar collector…to say the least.

But, I’ve never actually counted how many.

Turns out I’ve got about 50 bars, plus 5 axles, 4 logs and a handful of other whacky and funky tools at our disposal over at The Horwich House of Strength.

You’d think I’d have enough by now…but there’s still more bars to buy 🤪

36kg Safety Squat Bar absolutely bombproof!

First (and only) bar I squatted 600lbs on and 400lbs 20 times.

When Mo wapped it up for sale I couldn’t say no 🤣

So, now we have 4 SSBs 🤩

Rachel is simply the embodiment of “lovely”.

Coming from never stepping foot in a gym to training consistently and making progress week after week!

Always has a smile on her face despite gruelling sessions, even on the stairmaster 🤣
