Saturday the 1sts host Walshaw down at the Rigbys whilst the 2nds travel to Horwich! Both games starting at 12:30pm.

Then Sunday, in the morning from 10am the ladies are in action as the Sapphire’s are away at Droylsden whilst the Storm host Middleton.

Following that we have the 3rd XI have Spring View at the Rigbys starting from 1:30pm!

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙥 🏏

1sts back to winning ways at Mottram.

Bowling first in the heat we started well with good opening spells from OJ & Kian. A partnership followed but a good response with frequent wickets taken by Jordy (4) & Ross (2) as we bowled them out for 185.

Bat in hand and looked in control with Oscar at one end, wickets kept on falling at the other leaving us 9 down needing 24 to win!

Step up Will Bradley! Seeing out 15 balls for a great 0* then watched at the other end as OJ (Sponsored by Phil & Jo Watkinson) got us over the line finishing 92*(78)!

2nds lose out at home to Darcy Lever in a high scoring encounter.

Batting first we got off to a quick start mainly off the bat of Ben Warriner (Sponsored by System Electrical Supplies) scoring 52 from 33.

Skipper Chad Haefele (Sponsored by Sheila Johnson & Michael Shipperbottom) then came to the crease top scoring with 73(45) but wickets fell at a constant rate as we were bowled out for 280 from 40 overs.

In reply a good start at 18-2 before two 100+ partnerships from a good side got them over the line 4 down.

Sunday the 3rds got another strong win away at Lostock!

Batting first a couple of early wickets before a solid partnership by the Bradley brothers set a platform for the middle order to accelerate the innings at the end as we got to 185 after our 40.

A great performance ball in hand and in the field as our first two wickets came via run outs from the arm of Jacob Rabbitt! Wickets across the board followed with Will Bradley the pick of them with figures of 4-17 as we bowled Lostock out for 85!

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙥 🏏

1sts suffer defeat on their travels at Deston St Lawrence.

Batting first a cluster of wickets early left us 51-6. A couple of small partnerships got us to 124 at the break.

Ball in hand a good start from Oscar with a wicket first ball in the innings, we had them 41-3 before a couple of partnerships got the hosts over the line. Winning by 5 wickets.

2nds also lose out at home to Stretford.

Batting first we set 164 with skipper Chad Haefele (Sponsored by Sheila Johnson & Michael Shipperbottom) top scoring with 83(56)👏!

In reply we had them 104-7 before an 8th wicket partnership of 62 won them the game.

Sunday the 3rds booked their place into the Beardsley Cup Final with a great win at home to Horwich!

Bowling first the visitors got off to a good start before we pegged them back going from 102-3 to 192 all out. Wickets shared across the board with both Will’s taking 3-fers!

Then with the bat a partnership of 130 between Will Bradley (Sponsored by Frank & Hazel Gwilt) 64*(67) & Phil Dearnaley 61*(86) made light work of it getting us home after 33 overs!

We will face Little Lever in the final!💪💪
