🔥 RHINOS WEEK AHEAD | w/c 14 SEPT 🔥
We’re rolling into another brilliant week at Bo’ness Rugby and the pitch is going to be busy, buzzing, and full of Rhino spirit. Plenty of chances to get involved, get moving, and be part of the herd.

Tuesday is our big club night — Women’s & Girls and Colts kick things off early, Purple Rhinos take over after that, and the Men’s squad round out the evening. New players are always welcome.

Wednesday sees our U16s heading out for joint training, great for development, great for confidence, and great for building those pathway connections.

Thursday is Social Touch — the most relaxed, laugh‑filled hour of the week. Perfect for anyone who wants to run about without the pressure.

Saturday morning belongs to our Baby Rhinos. Tiny players, huge enthusiasm. It’s impossible not to smile watching them.

And Sunday is our youth rugby double‑header with Minis and Colts. Always a cracking morning with loads of energy and plenty of proud parents on the sidelines.

Another full week. Another chance to show what Rhino spirit looks like 💙💛

💙💛 A Huge Sunday Thank You from Bo’ness Rugby Club! 💙💛

What a brilliant day across our youth.

🌟 Minis Rugby – Away at Cumbernauld
Our Minis were on the road first thing this morning, and a massive thank you goes to Cumbernauld Rugby Youth & Minis for hosting us. The kids had a fantastic run‑around with plenty of smiles, tries and teamwork exactly what Sunday rugby should be. The welcome was superb as always, and it’s great to see our youngest Rhinos growing in confidence every week.

🏉 U16s – Carnoustie vs Bo’ness at Panmure
A huge shout‑out to Carnoustie Rugby Club for an absolutely brilliant U16 match. Both teams played with real intensity, skill and determination, and the game stayed tight right to the final whistle.
Thank you to Panmure RFC for hosting the fixture and looking after everyone so well and to our U16 partner club Livingston Rugby Football Club for their continued support.

Final score: Carnoustie 57 – 52 Bo’ness
A close‑fought contest with end‑to‑end rugby, big tackles, smart phases and huge effort from every player. Our U16s showed real heart today, proud of them.

🦏🎉 BABY RHINOS – SATURDAY MORNING ADVENTURES!

Our Baby Rhinos were on top form this morning full of imagination, giggles and endless energy. We found ourselves on another adventure to the zoo, meeting all sorts of pretend animals along the way.

There were balloons, plenty of colourful chaos, and even some ice cream being served up by our enthusiastic little Rhinos. The creativity from the kids today was absolutely brilliant and kept our coaches smiling from start to finish.

These sessions are packed with fun, movement, confidence‑building and lots of opportunities for your wee ones to explore, play and make new friends. It’s such a joy watching them grow each week.

🌟Scotmid Helping our Wee Rhinos Grow 🌟

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Scotmid Community has funded brand‑new equipment for our Baby Rhinos preschool programme. This support makes a huge difference to what we can offer our youngest players.

Thanks to Scotmid’s generosity, we’re now able to deliver our early‑years rugby and movement sessions completely free of charge across the Bo’ness School nurseries, led by our amazing Youth Coach Caroline. Her energy, care and passion for early‑years sport bring these sessions to life, giving every child the chance to learn, play and grow through fun, active movement.

This funding allows us to expand beyond our Saturday classes and bring Baby Rhinos directly into nurseries during the school day, reaching far more families across our community. Without Scotmid’s support, we simply wouldn’t be able to run these sessions at this scale.

💙💛A heartfelt thank you to Scotmid for backing our wee Rhinos, believing in community sport, and helping us give local children the best possible start.

Today, our club takes a moment to recognise the importance of looking after one another. Rugby teaches us teamwork, trust and connection and those values matter just as much off the pitch as they do on it.

Checking in with someone can make a real difference. A conversation, a moment of listening, or simply showing you care can be the support someone needs.

Look out for your teammates, friends and family.
Take time to talk.
Listen with kindness.
Stand together.

Our Baby Rhinos sessions are the perfect way for little ones aged 3–5 (preschool) to burn off energy, build confidence and make new pals, all through fun, movement and play.

Every week we see huge smiles, big leaps forward and lots of proud moments as our tiniest Rhinos learn new skills, try new activities and enjoy being part of the Rhino family. It’s relaxed, friendly and designed to help children grow at their own pace.

If you’ve been thinking about getting your wee one involved, now’s a brilliant time. We’ve got spaces available, our coaches are ready to welcome new faces, and the sessions are packed with laughter, games and positive encouragement.

MINIS – Away to Cumbernauld (Sunday 11am)
Our P1–P7 Rhinos are on the road this weekend as they head to Cumbernauld. Big effort, big smiles, and big Rhino pride incoming.

COLTS – Away This Weekend
Our S1–S6 boys are also away across their fixtures. Best of luck to every squad pulling on the Rhino jersey.

FREE SOCIAL RUGBY – Thursday 6.30pm
A relaxed hour of touch rugby open to absolutely everyone. No cost, no pressure, just fun, fitness, and good company. Bring a pal and get involved.

With Women & Girls Touch, Purple Rhinos, Men’s training, Baby Rhinos and our youth squads all grafting through the week, it’s another brilliant one for the Rhino Family.
