💚 LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE – STILL HAPPENING AROUND LAYTON! 💚

Things may look a little different this Saturday, but thanks to some amazing people and community spaces, there is still plenty happening across Layton.

A huge thank you to Layton Library, Layton Methodist / Forward Project, Layton Community House and Blackpool Stanley Rugby Club for opening their doors, adapting plans and helping us keep the spirit of the day going.

We’re also incredibly grateful to the Friends of Kingscote Park, Guides, Scouts and all the volunteers and partners who have worked so hard behind the scenes.

📚 Layton Library is open from 10am, with Bear Hunt storytimes at 11am and 12 noon, a sing-along and Layton Memories.

🍦 Layton Methodist / Forward Project will have free ice cream for children from 11am, Guides and Scouts activities from 11am–1pm, and a chance to learn about Layton’s Youth Vision.

👶 Layton Community House is open from 10am with the Baby Bank, tea, coffee and a friendly chat.

🏉 Blackpool Stanley Rugby Club has Walking Rugby from 10am.
The big outdoor event may have been cancelled, but the community spirit certainly hasn’t.

Different venues, same Layton community. 💚

The club would like to extend it's condolences to the family and friends of Sir Billy Boston who has sadly passed away at the age of 92. Sir Billy, the first Knight of Rugby League, was a true legend and trailblazer of our great game and will be sadly missed by many across the game.
He played most of his club rugby at Wigan where he is held in particular high regard, but he also played at Blackpool Borough towards the end of his playing career. He returned to Blackpool during his retirement attending a few of Blackpool Stanley's early presentation nights. In the picture below Billy, as he was then, is pictured with some our founding members at one of those nights. RIP Sir Billy

We were blessed with some glorious sunshine for another fantastic session with our growing SCAMPS family! ☀️

It was wonderful to welcome more new faces to the team, with our young players enjoying plenty of fun, laughter and rugby-based games. The confidence is growing, the teamwork is getting stronger, and those smiles just keep coming! 🏉🧸
