π **MONDAY MOTIVATION**
Some runs feel amazing.
The legs feel good, the pace feels easy and you remember exactly why you love running.
Other runs? Every mile feels like hard work and you spend half of it wondering why you bothered putting your trainers on.
**But here's the thing β they all count.**
The brilliant ones.
The tough ones.
The slow ones.
The ones where simply getting out of the door was the achievement.
Whatever kind of run you're having this week, keep going.
**You're still moving forward. π**

**What do you think about whilst running?**
Running is supposed to clear your headβ¦ apparently. π
But what is *actually* going through your mind while youβre clocking up the miles?
π Whatβs for tea?
π Did I lock the front door?
β°οΈ Why does this hill NEVER end?
π‘ I have just solved every problem in my life!
π€ Or absolutely, completelyβ¦ **nothing?**
Maybe you plan your week, replay conversations from ten years ago, make important life decisions or spend 5 miles wondering why you ever thought going for a run was a good idea. π
**So, runners⦠where does YOUR mind wander when your feet are running?**
We want to hear the weird, wonderful and completely random thoughts that keep you company on a run.

**FAQ: Gun Time vs Chip Time β What's the difference? πβ±οΈ**
You've crossed the finish line, checked the results and spotted that someone with a slower chip time is above you... so what's going on?
It all comes down to **gun time vs chip time**.
π **Gun time** starts from the official start of the race and is used to determine your **official race position**.
β±οΈ **Chip time** starts when you personally cross the start timing point and stops when you cross the finish β giving you your own elapsed time around the course.
If you start further back in the field, your chip time may therefore be faster than someone who finishes ahead of you in the official results.
So when you're looking at the results and wondering why they're not in chip-time order β **race positions are determined by gun time.**
Two times. Two slightly different purposes. Hopefully that clears up one of those little race-day mysteries! π

πΉ **A RUN TO REMEMBER** πΉ
There are races you enter for a PB.
There are races you enter for the challenge.
And then there are races that mean something more.
On **Remembrance Sunday**, we come together in Lytham for the **Windmill Remembrance 10K** β a morning of running, reflection and remembrance.
Before the running begins, we remember those who served and sacrificed.
Then we run. Together.
Past one of Lytham's most iconic landmarks, surrounded by fellow runners sharing a very special occasion.

NOW THIS IS MEDAL MONDAY! π
We might have collected one or two medals over the years here at FCR... ππ
These are just some of the medals hanging in the office β and every single one represents a start line, a finish line and a whole lot of memories in between.
So we thought we'd have a little Medal Monday challenge...
π Take a good look β how many of these have YOU earned?
π
How many FCR medals are hanging in your collection?
π Can you spot one you missed and still wish you'd got your hands on?
And here's the big question...
Which FCR medal is YOUR favourite?
Maybe it was your first.
Your fastest.
Your hardest-earned.
Or simply the one with the best bling!
π Tell us in the comments β and let us know how many FCR medals you've collected along the way.
Whether you've got one medal or one hundred, every one has a story behind it.
Come on runners... let's hear about your bling! π

Weβve said it throughout the build-up to Fleetwoodβ¦
π¦οΈ **RAIN OR SHINE β WE RUN.**

π¦οΈ **TOMORROWβS THE DAY!** π¦οΈ
π www.fyldecoastrunners.com
Weβve said it from the very beginningβ¦
**RAIN OR SHINE β WE RUN.**
Weβve talked heatwaves.
Weβve talked rain.
Weβve talked wind.
Weβve even wondered whether Fleetwood might throw the whole lot at usβ¦
And now weβve checked the forecast. π
At the moment, race day is looking like it might actually be rather kind to us β some sunshine, temperatures around the high teens and, of course, just enough uncertainty to remind us that this *is* the Fylde Coast! π
But whatever we wake up to tomorrow morning, one thing definitely isn't changingβ¦
π The training is done
π The coast is waiting
π
The medals are ready
π And tomorrow, **we run!**
Whether this is your first half marathon, your fastest half marathon or simply another 13.1 miles doing something you love, enjoy every bit of it.
Get the kit ready.
Pin that number on.
Try to get some sleepβ¦
**Fleetwood Half Marathon β tomorrow is YOUR day. π**
See you on the start line!
