CM23 Honey

Bees have been a little neglected but should be getting back on track. Just took honey off one hive, they had drawn out wax to make a lid full, plus two supers, but most needed cutting out as had crystallised so that will be an interesting job. Some of the honey in comb in the lid should be nice if you like it as is..

What I thought was going to be my bumper crop hive was wiped out and robbed and not by my bees.. Supplies will be tight this year. I have honey settling in buckets to check if it stays runny or goes solid, to determine next steps, that said i do prefer soft set honey, just a little extra work involved.

Just performed a stock take of honey available for sale. I have 11 x1lb jars of soft set honey and 19 8oz jars of runny honey. Everything is likely to be late this year what with the weather we have had. I will be looking to take the honey off in August this year, somewhat later than normal!

My bees swarmed Yesterday, found they had made home in some old equipment.. I guess people are suffering with hay fever remember if using honey to help you don’t need to use much, half a teaspoon a day is ample..

Apologies to the fisherman who just picked up some honey. Prices were £4-£6 6£ being for the pound jar rather than £4.6. No worries as
