Huge congratulations to Edie, who has secured BSSCโs first medal of the Championships!
Competing in the 15 years 50m Butterfly, Edie produced a fantastic swim to claim silver at the GB Aquatics Next Gen Championships.

๐ Open Water National Qualifier: Guy ๐
Guy will be representing BSSC at the Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships at Rother Valley Country Park! ๐
Competing in the 14 years age group, Guy will be swimming 5km.
After an impressive performance at the Open Water East Region Championships, where Guy secured 3rd place in the Region and top place in the County, he earned his qualification for Nationals.

Our biggest open water squad to date headed to Whitlingham Country Park on Sunday for a fantastic day of racing, with swimmers competing across events from 2km to 5km.
Highlights included:

๐ฅ Elizabeth - 5km Regional Bronze
๐ฅ Guy - 3km Regional Bronze & County Champion 5๏ธโฃ Noah - 3km County Top 5 finish
๐ฅ Harrison - 2km County Bronze
A special mention also goes to Bethany, Zander and Jeremy, who all took on their very first open water event. They swam brilliantly and have a great foundation to build on for the future.
A fantastic opportunity, plenty of smiles and another successful day for the club. Thank you to Coach Matt for supporting and looking after the swimmers throughout the day.
