What a lovely morning that was!

Perfect late summer conditions for a run or walk in the park and another 500+ turnout.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to all the wonderful volunteers that made it happen!

Happy Friday Folks!

We are all set to go tomorrow and the weather is looking perfect for a run or walk in the park!

Whilst we have a squad of pacers ready to try and get you a PB, I'm still looking for someone to pace 20, 24 and 38 minutes so if this could be you please let me know!

Also still have a couple of other volunteer roles available that can be combined with running so please drop me an email if you are happy to stay around after your run and help with those.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

PACERS WANTED!

Hello Everyone,

As the new school term begins, so too does the month of September and that means this Saturday is Pacer Week at Castle Park!

We are still looking for volunteers to pace at 20, 24, 30, 34, 36 and 38 minutes so if you can help with any of these please let me know by emailing [email protected]

I am also still looking for a few other volunteers to Marshal the course and help at the finish line so again if you can lend a hand please drop me an email.

Results are out, there were some scanning issues so if you see an issue with your result please email to [email protected] (don't post here).

We didn't get the anticipated deluge of participants but still a big turnout.

Thank you to the volunteers - especially those that had to stand around in the rain towards the end and to the tourist volunteers.

Several people mentioned that the "seeding" of expected finish times worked well. Let us know if you agree.

Update: Thank you to those that have volunteered. Just a few roles left to fill:

Marshal, Number Checker, Token Sorting, and pre-event setup.

After last week's record 572 participants and the fact that Harlow parkrun isn't on this coming Saturday we could easily have a record number of participants.

A beautiful sunny and cooler day enticed a record 572 people to Castle Park parkrun this week.

Here is the summary image that you all love.

Welcome to Suzie Moran, who is planning to join the team of Run Directors.

Well done to the 509 people that took part in Castle Park parkrun on a cooler but still warm Saturday.

We had 62 first-timers and 82 new pbs! Our furthest tourist was from Massachusetts, USA.

Another successful and incident-free parkrun! 🎉

Today we celebrated Stuart Longley’s 100th and Jeff Veitch’s 300th parkrun, as well as congratulating Simon on his forthcoming marriage. 💍

Martin O’Neill recorded the best male age-graded result at an impressive 81%, while Rosemary Nugent achieved the best female result with 78%. 👏

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who made today’s event possible.

Please consider volunteering over the next few weeks, as August is always a challenging month for filling the roster. We’d really appreciate your help! 🙏
