Join Vehdance for an exciting carnival dance class and become part of this year’s parade at Nottingham Carnival

No carnival experience? No problem! Whether you’re a seasoned mover or just love good energy, this is your chance to learn new moves, connect with the community and dance to the sounds of carnival.

Rehearsals start Thursday 16 July at Fabric, Space 2 and suitable for ages 16 and over.

From 10–12 July, you can join Fabric and Marshon Dance for hip hop workshops as part of this incredible weekend of music, culture and creativity.

We’re delighted to be part of a fantastic line-up featuring Jalen Ngonda, Jordan Rakei, Fabio & Grooverider & The Outlook Orchestra, Thee Sacred Souls, Cymande, Nightmares On Wax and many more.

This week, BalletBoyz bring Still Pointless to Birmingham as part of THIS IS DANCE.

Created to mark the 25th anniversary of the company's acclaimed debut production Pointless, the show features a collection of some of BalletBoyz' most celebrated works, performed by an exceptional cast of 10 dancers.

We're particularly proud to see four National CAT alumni in the company: Joshua Attwood, a graduate of Fabric's CAT, alongside Dan Baines, Dylan Jones and Luigi Nardone.

Their achievements demonstrate the lasting impact of the National CAT programme, supporting talented young dancers to develop their skills and progress into professional careers at the highest level.

📣 Open Tender Opportunity: Young People's Training in South Asian Dance Forms

Fabric is seeking to appoint a Midlands-based provider, or consortium of partners, to design and deliver a new iteration of South Asian dance training for young people as part of our Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of South Asian dance training in the Midlands and support talented young people to access high-quality development opportunities. The programme builds on years of learning and aims to broaden opportunities for young dancers across a diverse range of South Asian dance forms.

If you are a professional leader (or a consortium) based in the Midlands region with experience in South Asian dance and youth development, we'd love to hear from you.

What happens when choreography meets construction, labour and lived experience?

Join Eve Stainton for a powerful workshop exploring movement, bricklaying and working-class masculinities at Fabric Space 2. Together, participants will test new creative material, share reflections and explore physical practices connected to collective labour, care and resistance.

This workshop is for anyone who identifies with a form of masculinity and resonates with the themes. This is a trans+ inclusive space.
