Eleven years ago today, in June 2015, Joel Richards, his uncle Ade and his grandad Pat tragically lost their lives in the 2015 Tunisia terror attack.

Joel was a remarkable young man, devoting much of his time to football as a talented referee and a member of the BCFA Youth Council, becoming the first Chairperson in 2012.

Birmingham County FA will be unveiling a new commemorative memorial at our HQ this evening alongside members of Joel’s family, remembering Joel and the impact that he had across the wider football community.

11 years on, Joel is deeply missed by all of us at BCFA, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of the families of the 38 individuals who also sadly lost their lives 💜
