Sunday again… and who’s saying, “I’m starting a diet tomorrow”? 🙋🏽‍♀️

Be honest… how many times have you said it? 😜

The kids are back at school, college or they’ve headed off to uni. You’ve had a good summer — days out, BBQs, beers, w**e, meals out… you name it, you’ve probably had it! 🍷🍔☀️

And now the days are getting shorter, the cosy nights are creeping in, the jeans are making a comeback… and dare I even say it — Christmas food is already appearing in the supermarkets! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Then there are the Halloween treats, Christmas party countdowns and suddenly you’re thinking…

“I really need to sort myself out.”

I get it.

At 53, I remember dreading autumn — not just because summer was over, but because the floaty summer dresses disappeared and the jeans came back out! 😂

Not only that but perimenopause can make that relationship with your body feel even more complicated. Your body is changing, your confidence can take a knock and what used to work doesn’t always work anymore.

But here’s the thing…

You don’t need another strict diet. You don’t need to punish yourself for enjoying your summer……..and you definitely don’t need to wait until January!

What you can do is start rebuilding your strength, confidence and relationship with your body now. 💪🏽❤️

So if you’re looking at the jeans and thinking, “Oh no… here we go again!” 😩

Maybe this autumn can be different.

Let’s get you feeling strong, confident and comfortable in your body again — without putting your life on hold.

Drop me a message and let’s chat. 🧡🫶🏼

Once upon a time and for a very long time the bar with the drinks was always the one I chose!

Whether it was to wind down, de-stress, celebrate, drown my sorrows or simply enjoy myself… you’d find me at the bar.

These days, however, it’s the gym bar where I go to do all of those things!

Since hitting perimenopause, I’ve found my body just doesn’t tolerate alcohol like it used to. Don’t get me wrong, I’m definitely not teetotal. We just rarely drink at home now
and I’ll happily enjoy a glass of w**e when we’re out for a meal — whereas once, I probably would’ve had the bottle.

I think the biggest change is that I actually stop and think about the after now…

How am I going to feel in the morning?
Am I going to lose a whole day feeling rough?
Will I end up eating absolute rubbish all day because I’m tired and hungover?

And honestly, more often than not, I just decide it’s not worth it.

Give me a good workout, those endorphins, a bit of sweat and that feeling of having done something good for myself… and suddenly the gym bar wins every time!

Funny how priorities change, isn’t it? 🧡🫶🏼

Surround yourself with people who fill your cup 🫶🏼🧡

I don’t know about you, but as I’ve got older, my tolerance for negativity has definitely got a LOT lower! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Life can be hard enough without constantly being around people who drain your energy, bring you down or leave you feeling emotionally exhausted.

And honestly? I just can’t be doing with it anymore.

I’m so fortunate that I now work in an environment where I’m surrounded by positive energy, encouragement, laughter and genuinely lovely people. My cup gets filled every single day… and I’ve noticed how much that positive energy spills over into my life outside of work too.

Because the people around us really do matter 🫶🏼

When life gets tough (and let’s be honest, it does!), having those beautiful people in your corner can make such a difference. They lift you when you’re struggling, make you laugh when you need it most, listen without judgement, remind you who you are and show you love and care.

Sometimes that’s a real hug… and sometimes it’s a virtual one from someone miles away. 🤗

As we get older, I think we become much more protective of our time, our energy and our peace. And that’s not being selfish… it’s knowing what you need to feel good.

So take a little look around you…

Who are the people in your life? How do you feel after spending time with them? Do they fill your cup… or leave it empty?

I know exactly who fills mine, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single one of them 🥰

Life is too short to spend it surrounded by people who make you feel less than you are.

Find your people. Keep your people. And be that person who fills someone else’s cup too. 🫶🏼🧡

STOP SCROLLING if you’ve ever looked in the mirror and only seen what you don’t like 🧡

When did we become so critical of ourselves?

We can look at another woman and see her beauty, her strength, her warmth, her personality, her spark…

Yet when we look at ourselves, we zoom straight in on the things we wish we could change.

The wrinkles.
The weight gain.
The changing body.
The things that don’t look quite like they used to.

And somewhere in midlife, so many of us quietly lose confidence in the woman staring back at us.

But here’s the thing…

Other people aren’t seeing the flaws you’re obsessing over.

They see your smile.
Your kindness.
Your humour.
Your strength.
Your energy.
Your resilience.
The way you make them feel.
The woman who has lived, loved, struggled, grown and kept going.

They see qualities in you that you might be completely blind to.

So maybe the problem isn’t that we’ve changed.

Maybe it’s that we’ve forgotten how to see ourselves.

Your body has changed because you’ve lived a life.

Your face has changed because you’ve laughed, cried, loved and experienced things.

And you don’t need to look 25 again to be beautiful, confident or worthy.

You just need to stop measuring your worth against the version of you that you used to be.

Midlife isn’t the time to disappear.
It’s the time to finally see yourself properly. 🫶🏼🧡

And maybe today, instead of asking “What do I need to change?”

Ask yourself…
“What do other people see in me that I’ve stopped seeing in myself?” ✨

Does anyone else feel like their days off aren’t actually days off? 😔

This is what mine look like at the moment…

I always try to get to the gym first. 🏋️‍♀️
It’s something I really prioritise because I know that if I don’t get it done early, life happens and suddenly the day has disappeared.

Then it’s off to do the food shop for my parents. Mum is currently having cancer treatment, so supporting my parents is a big part of my life at the moment. I’ll do a few jobs around the house, make sure they’ve got what they need and more often than not, I’ll come home with some washing too!

Then I come home to my own housework. Squeeze in my own food shop. Plus all the other things I didn’t get done during the week.

And honestly… sometimes it feels like there’s just SO much to juggle.

Add perimenopause into the mix — the hormones, the tiredness, the mood swings, the days where you just don’t feel quite yourself — and it can all feel a so overwhelming.

I know I’m not alone in this.

Because so many of us spend our lives looking after everyone else.

We look after our families.
We look after our parents.
We work.
We run our homes.
We remember everything

Somewhere along the way, we forget about ourselves.

But I’m trying really hard not to do that anymore.

The gym is important to me but it doesn’t always have to be the gym.

Sometimes it’s a walk. 🚶‍♀️
Sometimes it’s a coffee and a proper catch-up with a friend. ☕
Sometimes it’s sitting down for 20 minutes and doing absolutely nothing.

It’s those little moments where we stop being Mum, daughter, partner, employee, housekeeper, organiser…

…and just get to be us.

And I honestly think that becomes even more important as we move through midlife.

So if life feels a bit overwhelming at the moment, this is your reminder from one woman to another:

You don’t have to earn time for yourself.
You’re allowed to take it.
Put yourself on the list.
Not at the bottom.
Somewhere near the top. 🧡🫶🏼

We can look after everyone else…
…but we need looking after too.

What’s your little bit of “me time”?
Gym? A walk? Coffee with a friend? Or just shutting the door, putting your feet up and enjoying five minutes of peace?

10 years ago, my reason was simple: I wanted to lose weight and honestly, that was pretty much it!

My “why” looks very different now…….

Strength training is my time for me.
A little escape from the stresses that come with midlife… and right now, that means having a distraction while supporting elderly parents who need me.

It makes me feel strong and empowered — especially when I lift a little heavier or squeeze out one more rep than I did last time. 💪🏼

It’s the friendships too, gym friendships just hit different. 🫶🏼

I love feeling amazing in my clothes. I love what consistency has done for my confidence.

Most importantly though, I know that 99.9% of the time, I will feel better after moving my body. Clearer head. Better mood. More energy. More ready to face whatever the day throws at me.

So yes, I still strength train for how my body looks…

But these days, I train for how it makes me feel.

Same weights.
Same gym.
Just a very different “why” 🧡🫶🏼

What’s your reason for training?

If you’re going through menopause and finding that your body is changing in ways you didn’t expect — including weight gain — you’re definitely not alone.

I know how easy it can be to fall into the mindset that exercise is something we have to do to lose weight or change the way we look.

But what if we looked at it differently?

Fitness isn’t about shrinking your body. It’s about building a stronger, healthier future 🧡

Our hearts, bones and brains all benefit from regular movement and strength training. Especially as we move through and beyond menopause, looking after our strength, mobility and overall health becomes so important.

But I also understand that getting started can feel really scary!

Maybe it’s been years since you exercised. Maybe you don’t feel confident in a gym or fitness environment. Perhaps you’re dealing with aching joints, muscle pain, tiredness or other menopause symptoms and you’re worried exercise might make things worse.

Please know this: you don’t have to be fit to get started 🌸

You just need to start where you are.

I truly believe movement should be something we enjoy — not something we dread or use to punish ourselves. When we start seeing exercise as an act of self-care, rather than something we have to endure, it can completely change the way we feel about moving our bodies 🪷

I understand how changing hormones can affect our bodies, and I’m here to help you find ways of exercising that work with your body, not against it 🧡

There’s no perfect age, perfect body or perfect starting point.

Every walk, every stretch and every bit of strength you build is an investment in you — your health, your confidence and your future. ✨

So, let’s stop exercising because we think we need to be smaller…and start moving because we deserve to feel stronger, healthier and more confident in our bodies. 🌸💪

Are you ready to start? 🧡🫶🏼

If you’re in the middle of perimenopause or menopause and sometimes feel like you don’t quite recognise yourself anymore… I want you to know you’re not alone 🧡

There’s so many changes happening at once.

Your energy isn’t what it used to be.
Your sleep can be all over the place.
Your mood can feel different.
Your body may be changing in ways you didn’t expect.
And sometimes, even the things that used to make you feel good just don’t seem to work in the same way anymore.

It can be confusing, frustrating and if I’m honest, often overwhelming.

But I want you to hear this:
Your body isn’t letting you down. It’s changing and it deserves your support, not your punishment 🫶🏼

This is why I’m so passionate about help ladies during midlife.

I don’t want women to feel like they have to fight their bodies, chase a number on the scales or try to turn back the clock.

I want you to feel Strong, Confident and Resilient

I want you to feel proud of what your body can still do — and excited about what it might be capable of next.

Because movement during this stage of life is about so much more than exercise.

It’s about building strong bones for the future.
It’s about keeping your heart healthy.
It’s about maintaining strength and independence.
It’s about supporting your mood and wellbeing.
And it’s about reconnecting with a body that may feel a little unfamiliar right now.

And there’s something incredibly powerful about that moment when you realise:

“I can do this”
“I am stronger than I thought”
“My body is still capable of amazing things”

You don’t need to be fitter, thinner or younger to deserve to feel good in your body.

You just need the right support, the right approach and someone in your corner.

And that’s where I come in🫶🏼

If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause and you’d love to feel stronger, more energised and more confident in your body, I’d genuinely love to help.

This isn’t the end of feeling strong.
It’s the beginning of a whole new kind of strength.

✨ Hello September ✨

Just 4 months left of the year…

And with the festive season getting closer, I want you to ask yourself:

How would you LOVE to feel going into Christmas and all those social occasions? 🎄🥂

Maybe it’s…

✨ Feeling more confident in yourself
✨ Feeling stronger, fitter and full of energy
✨ Feeling great in your clothes — especially when you’re getting dressed up
✨ Walking into social events feeling comfortable and confident
✨ Enjoying meals, drinks and celebrations without guilt
✨ And finally letting go of that “I’m either 100% on it or I’ve blown it” mindset

Because midlife doesn’t mean you have to choose between feeling good and enjoying your life.

You can get stronger, build confidence, feel amazing in your clothes AND enjoy dinners out, celebrations, holidays and all the fun that comes with the festive season. ❤️

It’s not about being perfect.

It’s about finding an approach that works alongside your life — not one that takes over it.

So, if you could choose just ONE feeling to take with you into the festive season this year…

What would it be? 👇

Let September be the month you start creating it. ✨

🌿 Where do you find your ‘calm? 🫶🏼

For me, every time it’s by water! 🧡

A quiet lake, a peaceful canal or the sea…………there’s just something about being near water that makes everything slow down for a while.

Maybe it’s because I’m a Cancerian………or maybe I just love that feeling of being able to breathe a little deeper, think a little clearer, and simply be🪷

✨ We all have that one place, feeling or moment that brings us back to ourselves x

So tell me… where do YOU find your calm?

👇 I’d love to hear — and maybe discover some new places to find a little peace along the way 🫶🏼🧡
