Delighted to announce that the amazingly talented WILL STAFFORD has landed yet another professional Musical Theatre role. Will takes on the title role of Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Leicester Curve this Christmas, from November to January.
From the little boy who cried before his first audition because he was so nervous, to landing his 4th professional contract at the tender age of 12, Will's journey has been amazing! His professional credits now include;

Wonderful to see Spotlight graduate BETHANY ANTONIA playing Eurydice in Hadestown. We've had lots of pupils and graduates perform in the West End, but Bethany is our first-ever West End leading lady and she was INCREDIBLE!

Congratulations to ZURI MOSHI who has been awarded a 1 year scholarship from Elmhurst Ballet School after they noticed her talent and potential in a recent workshop. Just to get a training place at Elmhurst is a great achievement - to receive a full scholarship is exceptional! Well done Zuri!

WHY DANCE, DRAMA & SINGING EXAMS MATTER!
Congratulations to our Year 13 girls, who achieved amazing A’Level results, with many A* and A grades.
What makes their academic achievements even more impressive is that they have also earned hundreds of additional UCAS points through their vocational exams in Dance and Musical Theatre. A Spotlight pupil can earn up to 183 UCAS points from taking Level 3 exams in IDTA Dance, ABD Dance, LAMDA Drama and LCM Singing – more points than achieving D*D*D* on a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance or Musical Theatre (worth 168 points)!
Taking vocational exams alongside your academic studies gives you the best of both worlds and keeps all your options open. As well as gaining UCAS points to add to your A’Level points, Dance, Drama & Singing exams also look really impressive on CVs and application forms. These girls were often at the studios 3 or 4 times a week throughout the whole of sixth form, proving that it is possible to fit everything in!
Well done girls, we are all so proud of your many achievements and wish you the best of luck for your bright futures!

Elle Taylor (ETT) is Spotlight's weekly Commercial teacher and Georgina Whittle (WHC) trained at Spotlight until she was 18. Together they run one-off workshop days in the school holidays and always deliver great additional training!

Well done beautiful girl - you have always been so hard-working and determined, and I'm glad other professionals have also noticed this. Keep up the great work for 2nd year!

Imagine not only getting in to all of your dreams colleges, but then being offered full scholarships and funding! Our 2026 graduates who are continuing their training full time post-18 did just that! Huge congratulations to CHANAIA MENGA who was offered a full scholarship for Emil Dale and funding for Laine Theatre Arts (and has chosen Emil Dale) and to CHANTELLE TONOLETE who was offered a full scholarship from Wilkes and funding from Laine (and has chosen Laine). Chantelle is Spotlight's 5th pupil to be awarded a full scholarship from Wilkes!
Just getting into these colleges is hard enough - to be the scholarship/funding recipients is even more of an amazing achievement!
So proud of you girls - all that hard work since you were 4 has paid off. Now go and live your dreams 💙🖤
