Shout out to James, one of my 1:1 students, who has recently passed his G2 in Sardinia!

What a legend, reminding us all that self defence or martial arts training is a long game, and a journey, and something that once started is worked on continuously 🦾

What a day! What a lovely lot of lovely people!

Today was a grading day for Resilience, in baking hot Kings Heath (over 30 degrees 🥵).

Everyone turned up and trained hard, showing me and themselves EXACTLY what they know and what they are capable of.

It’s been a LONG TIME since we graded - and it was worth the wait. It has been fantastic watching long term students develop serious skills, and see newer starters start to grow and progress on the same journey.

Well done Resilience crew - the day was yours!

was AWESOME this year, a beautiful, busy, boiling hot day celebrating the best of both the wonderful q***r and Kings (Queens) Heath community!

Showcasing how amazing and positive things can be when we all come together with respect, solidarity, and love 🫶🏼

What a lot of great people, really nice to see everyone, and to be a part of it all. It was a blast service the community bevvies all day then spending time with .natrins.yoga for the afterparty 💃🏻🕺🏼

Was also special to bump into three of my students too, and catch up out of classes!

I’m now looking forward to continuing to bring my self defence coaching to the wonderful Kings Heath community, working with Birmingham LGBT to support the q***r community, and everything else beyond 🙌🏼

So stoked be asked back to run more sessions with Birmingham LGBT! I can’t wait.

I ran six sessions last summer, and had an amazing experience training with a large amount of amazing people, helping to pass on some skills and boosting a little confidence.

The feedback was positive and the main request was for MORE SESSIONS!

I am so pleased - and blessed - to be able to come back and do more.
