🎾 Warwickshire Winter League 2026/27 – Entries Open!

Entries are now open for:

🎾 Men’s Doubles
🎾 Ladies’ Doubles
🎾 Mixed Doubles

Teams need 4 players per fixture, with matches arranged between clubs from October 2026 to March 2027.

🏆 Division 1 teams can progress to the semi-finals and Finals Day in March.

📅 Entry deadline: Sunday 6 September at 11pm

150 Years of Rugby Lawn Tennis Club

Last weekend, our County Safeguarding Officer Tony Supperstone joined Rugby Lawn Tennis Club for their fantastic 150th anniversary celebrations.

Tony is pictured with John Victoros, proudly flying the Warwickshire Tennis flag as the club celebrated an incredible 150 years of community, passion and tennis. 💙🎾

Walking Tennis Course – New Date & Venue!

Interested in bringing Walking Tennis to your venue? Join us for our rearranged Walking Tennis course this September.

📍 West Warwickshire Sports Complex, Solihull

The course will give you the knowledge and practical ideas you need to introduce Walking Tennis at your venue and help make tennis accessible to even more people.

🎾 PLUS – every venue attending will receive a FREE Walking Tennis equipment bag worth £150!

Please note that the course will take place outdoors, so come suitably dressed for the weather. Free parking is available on site.

🎾 Warwickshire at the Play Your Way to Wimbledon National Finals 🎾

What a fantastic experience for four Warwickshire players who had the opportunity to compete on the grass courts at the All England Club as part of the Play Your Way to Wimbledon National Finals!

Oliver Merricks, at just 10 years old, represented Warwickshire in the 14U Boys' Singles. Taking on older and stronger players, Oliver played some excellent tennis, including some long and closely contested rallies. Although the results didn't go his way, competing at Wimbledon at only 10 years old is a fantastic achievement and an experience to remember. Well done, Oliver!

Elsie Washbourne represented Warwickshire in the 14U Girls' Singles, winning three of her group matches to qualify for the main draw. She continued her impressive run to reach the quarter-finals, rounding off a brilliant week at Wimbledon.

Warwickshire was also represented in the 18U Boys' Doubles by Anand Dhillon and Adam Patel. The pair won both of their group matches to qualify for the main draw before producing a superb performance in the quarter-finals, where they were narrowly defeated in three sets.

A brilliant experience for Oliver, Elsie, Anand and Adam, and a fantastic opportunity to compete on the famous courts at Wimbledon.

MEN’S O35s COUNTY CUP – WEEKEND WRAP-UP

Our Warwickshire Men’s O35s have completed their three days of LTA Over 35s County Cup action in Men’s Group 1.

Representing Warwickshire were:
🐻 Tom Barton (Captain)
🎾 Will Bramley
🎾 Simon Ferguson
🎾 Stuart Maidment
🎾 Jamie Taylor

The team faced Derbyshire, Yorkshire and South Wales across the three days:
Friday: Derbyshire 3–2 Warwickshire
Saturday: Yorkshire 4–1 Warwickshire
Sunday: Warwickshire 3–2 South Wales

Sunday brought a positive finish to the weekend, with Warwickshire securing a 3–2 victory over South Wales.

The results mean Warwickshire finish fourth in Group 1 and will compete in Group 2 next year.

🎾 COUNTY CUP STARTS TOMORROW! 🎾

We're delighted to announce our Warwickshire Men's O35s team as they begin their LTA Over 35s County Cup campaign tomorrow.

The team will compete in Men's Group 1 over the next three days at the International Tennis Centre, Sussex, taking on Derbyshire, Yorkshire and South Wales in what promises to be a fantastic weekend of tennis.

Best of luck to Tom Barton (Captain), Will Bramley, Simon Ferguson, Stuart Maidment and Jamie Taylor. We know you'll represent Warwickshire with pride and give it everything on court.
