Just a reminder for our members and visitors that we're hosting the English Schools' Track & Field Championships this weekend 🥇

To help our members access the centre, parking will be available in Upper Perry Park, which has been reserved exclusively for members of Perry Fitness Centre and GMAC. Please access the car park via Church Road, heading towards the bollards next to The Church Tavern, where a parking steward will direct you to the designated parking area 🛻

Please note that there will be no member parking available on the Stadium site during the event.

When you arrive at Upper Perry Park, a parking steward will ask to see proof of membership before allowing entry. Please have one of the following ready:

We are so excited to be hosting the Birmingham 2026: European Athletics Championships with many of the world's greatest athletes set to compete right here at Alexander Stadium between the 10th and 16th August.

Across an action packed week, champions will be crowned in front of sell-out crowds, as Birmingham once again plays host to one of the biggest events in the 2026 sporting calendar.

You may have heard - but some EXCITING things are coming to the Gymnastics & Martial Arts Centre (GMAC) here at Alexander Stadium! 😍

A significant investment is being made into the facility with a whole host of new equipment being installed this summer to enhance our offering and ensure we’re THE go-to destination for gymnastics in Birmingham and further afield 📍

What’s new?

🤸‍♀️ Replacement of all biscuit matting under the Beam, Pommel, Rings & Bars to FIG standard
🤸‍♀️ New safety mats and supporting blocks throughout the facility
🤸‍♀️ Two new Pommel Horses & Three new Beams
🤸‍♀️ A brand-new FIG Olympic-standard 14m x14m artistic floor area
🤸‍♀️ A new Trampoline area
🤸‍♀️ Repairs to the foam pit, including replacement foam

These exciting changes will mean some temporary disruption – so if you’re a member with us – please keep an eye out for an email detailing what this will mean for you 📲
