Mallett's in the microwave, atleast that's how it feels cooking here @ Rissington kart curcuit today π₯΅π
And on that note Oscar's been cooked too out on track, but he's loved it, battling start to finish in the finals, some fantastic experience gained.
You can find out the result when the video comes out in the not too distant future.
Next up I believe is Rowrah, an amazing circuit and location, one of the hi-lites of the season π

Our GYG (Club100 North Championships Rd3) video is in production.
Did we manage the A final?
Did we finish higher than our first time on this track last season?
Give me another week or so and you'll be able to find out π
Later in the season we're back here again, already excited for it, brilliant track!

So you fancy editing??
What you see here are all the files required to make a roughly 1 hour video of Oscar's recent race event in Wales at GYG Karting with Club100.
There are 4 full length 'onboard' video's filmed by our DJI camera mounted onto the kart.
There are 33 trackside short and full length race video's filmed on my phone.
And then there is a collection of screen shots and photographs which capture all the race results as well as the off track journey.
To get all of these files uploaded onto the PC and then named and arranged into chronological order was a full days work alone, and that's before the editing can begin.
Now I face around 30 hours of work to stitch all of these files together using Capcut to turn into around a 1 hour video which will achieve only a few hundred views, no financial reward, just 30 hours and a day of unpaid work.
But it's not only stitching the files together, I'll be including voice overs throughout, essential narration to keep the pace and the direction of the video flowing and around 80% of those voice overs go wrong and get deleted, hours of unseen work.
So why do I do it? Why do I dedicate all of my available time to this?
I don't socialise, I don't have hobbies, friends over, nothing, I just do this and when I'm not it's because I'm back into dad mode.
I do it for Oscar, it's that simple, he's my world and this journey we are on together is only temporary and I would rather spend these years working for his best interests than anything else, so I'm fully commited, fully dedicated and giving my all to this fot his future.
His Youtube channel and social media pages are essentially a portfolio of work, a public showcase of his abilities and his achievements, they are also places he can revisit in the future and look back on to remember these precious moments we spent together.
Maybe more so than most parents, due to spending most of Oscar's life fighting for his freedoms through the despicable and corrupt family courts, I am solely committed to him, to helping him move into a promising and exciting future, one where hopefully he'll find happiness.
That's my life's goal, that's why I edit π

CLUB100'S BACK BABY!!
This Sunday we're again racing on a brand new curcuit to us, Rissington, another new and exciting challenge π―
By now we hope you all know of our goal on new tracks.... it's simple, to make the A final.
We've came very close, 2 tenths of a second close in the past, but we still haven't quite achieved this goal yet. I believe Oscar maybe would have done so at Shennington but his qualifying and pre-B final karts weren't up to the pace of his earlier test session kart and so it was with a lack of pace he fell down the grid in the 2 races where it counted in that round.
This just means we're going into this event at Rissington even more determined than previously and given an even kart Oscar definitely has it in his DNA to reach the A final through qualifying, he maybe just needs a little bit of luck on his side to push him over the lineπ€π»
We know the field is going to be tight again, we know and respect the quality of the other racers we are out there on track with and we are proud to have these opportunities throughout this season in both the North and South Club100 championships to test ourselves against them.
All we ask now is....please don't rain ππ»

Here it is, the video I've enjoyed editing the most, last months Grid Series Rd 5, and it's a corker π₯
Yes for over 2 years we had been waiting for a chance to attack our friend Jayden Steatham Racing out on track, we've got the better of him plenty of times screwing around play fighting in the pits, but due entirely to fate we are yet to have an opportunity to put the pressure on him where it counts, out on track.
18 months ago Jayden had his opportunity in a 30 minute race on this same track, 20 full minutes of immense bumper to bumper pressure but somehow Oscar held out in a show of immense grit and determination. That battle is on our Youtube channel, anybody who wants to see it here's the link:
https://youtu.be/ZAuQ6FYubH8?is=bbSrRKBDOMqfEY_6
So now it's Oscar's turn, he's going to get 10 minutes to put Jayden through the "most pressure he's ever been under", but is 10 minutes enough? Will Jayden hold out or will Oscar find a way through his armour?
This is the event that set Oscar up for an AMAZING round 6 finale last night!
Please drop a like and comment if you do watch π
We've Waited Over 2 Years For This Battle! Grid Series Rd5 Over 2 years we've been waiting for this battle, you don't want to ...

ABSOLUTE DOMINANCE for Oscar in last nights 6th and final round of the Birmingham TeamSport Karting Junior Grid Series π₯³π₯³π₯³
He took P1 on the night with ease, and 2 huge on track moments would completely shake up the possibilities for where he could end up on the final end of series podium π―
Going in in P4 overall our objective was simple...beat Evan Mosely, we wanted the 3rd spot on the podium.
We missed round 1 in January with Oscar's broken finger and had no idea where Evan finished that night...we would find out it was P2 π± only making our mission to beat him harder! He was more points ahead of us than we believed and it meant we needed to beat him by several positions, we needed to win and for him to have a bad night π¬
Going in it looked like this between both boys:
Evan (P3 in standings)
RD1: P2
RD2: P3
RD3: P3
RD4: P3
RD5: P5
Oscar (P4 in standings)
RD1: N/A
RD2: P4
RD3: P4
RD4: P2
RD5: P2
I believe there were 2 drop rounds meaning your 4 best results count, that puts Evan ahead.
LAST NIGHTS FINAL ROUND ACTION
QUALIFYING:
Oscar P1
Evan P2
A massive battle was lying right ahead, it was clear both boys were here for the win.
HEAT 1
Oscar P1
Evan P2
Oscar maintained a small lead he picked up at the start of the race, but it was tense, Evan was always right there just feet behind Oscar keeping the pressure on max. But Oscar's as cool as ice in these situations and he drove home to a comfortable victory.
HEAT 2
Top 4 from heat 1 move to the back of the pack in reverse finishing order. Oscar was starting last position in P10....Directly behind Evan! It was now or never, Oscar had to assert his dominance by passing Evan asap, and he did it with a beautifully timed 'signature move' down the longest straight on the track, a thing of beauty.
Oscar carried on working his way through the pack until he was in P5 behind Jayden. Jayden was more tactically aware than Oscar in the moment and allowed Oscar past him into P4....the top 4 ofcourse moving to the back of the grid again for heat 3. I couldn't believe what Oscar had done, the one time he overtakes Jayden and it'll cost him several positions in the next race π£π«£
Oscar finished P4 up from P10, but where was Evan π§ He finished way back in P8, his lap times were down, he clearly had a stinker of a kart.
HEAT 3
Starting P7 with Evan now 3 positions ahead of us in P4, Oscar was under pressure, but what we did know was that we were all in the same karts we used in heat 2, could this work to our advantage?
Oscar begun the race with the bit between his teeth...up to P6 and then up to P5 with ease, now Evan was in our crosshairs.
Remember that 'signature move' of Oscar's which I mentioned he used to pass Evan in Heat 2, well it was a mirror image, the first opportunity to attack and as clean as a whistle Oscar was in P4. But Evan made a tiny mistake, he slightly turned into Oscar on the apex as Oscar was 100% alongside him and that slight bit of contact was enough for Evan to send himself into the tyres and come to a stop.
Evan dropped backwards down the grid in that moment to finish in P8 while Oscar went on to finish in P3, we couldn't have wrote a better script in terms of how the races needed to finish for us.
THE FINAL
Oscar had secured a P1 start with Jayden then Manik and Pone Pone directly behind him. Jayden had offered to work with Oscar, his objective was simply to beat Manik and secure the title, so he didn't need to attack Oscar.
Meanwhile Evan was starting down in P7, a golden opportunity for us to get some big points over Evan and threaten that 3rd spot on the podium...only at this point we had no idea of the karts we were sat in, it's always a roll of the dice.
I watched on trackside as the race got underway, after 1 lap Oscar alread had about a half second lead over Jayden, that stretched a little more after lap 2 and then Jayden had to start defending from Manik.
Oscar continued to stretch his lead, it got to the point where he was so far ahead I ended up looking back across the track and filming the battle behind him.
Now until I've re-watched the footage I don't want to make any calls, but there was an incident between Manik and Pone Pone, I believe but could be wrong that Pone Pone was trying to make a pass? It lead to Maniks kart coming to a standstill and him falling a full lap behind, completely out of the race, and he currently stands P2 in the Grid Series, this was a disaster for him π¬
The rest of the race was formation and Oscar came home in P1 way ahead of the field, but due to the incident with Pone Pone and Manik it meant that Evan had jumped up into P4, and only this result counts towards the Grid Series standings!
Had we done enough or would Evan just about cling onto P3 overall??? ππ»
And then the news came in, due to Manik finishing the final in last place both Evan and Oscar had leap frogged him and were now battling over P2 and P3 in the standings π±π«£
IT WAS A TIE....incredibly both boys had earnt exactly the same amount of points for the season, and the on track incidents which had lead to this in the final alone tonight were pivotol.
On 4 seperate occasions over the last 2 years Oscar has finished on joint points with another racer and lost out only on fastest lap time, he's NEVER won a split decision like this and so it was in the moment I held my breath and just hoped his luck would finally change π€π»
P2, we did it, Oscar was awarded the win over Evan for beating him on the night πππ₯³
I just want to say a massive congratulations to everyone who competed throughout the season.
It's been stressful, exciting and joyous and for me personally it's meant more amazing memories created alongside Oscar and his grandparents which is what this existence we call life is really all about π
Also in Grid Series Rd5 a monumental moment took place as I was re-united with my sister after around 15 years, yes that happened inside Teamsport, a hige family moment which we'll never forget βΊοΈ
Memories made that will last forever, friendships forged and more trophies for the cabinet, that's a win π₯³
Next up at TeamSport Karting is the BIKC...
We have set 2 of our 3 qualifying times so far, averaging at 43.7, that's a guaranteed entry.
We look forwards to again locking horns out there with Jayden Steatham Racing Charley Dawson Manik, Evan, Pone Pone, Seb, Davy, Harris and who ever else wants to challenge us on that night π

With the 6th and final round of Grid Series taking place tonight we're not releasing our latest video of round 5 until tomorrow, a tactical decision π
This one was a real pleasure to edit and as the thumbnail caption says it's over 2 years in the making! We've been waiting over 2 years for an opportunity to ATTACK Jayden Steatham Racing on track π₯
This was a brilliant night, well woth the 2+ years wait to see it happen.
I'll post the link here tomorrow afternoon, it'll be live on our Youtube chanel https://youtube.com/?si=Lbgf9jLPbYP9UZ02 from 3:30pm, don't miss this one π
