We’ve got the latest stats on the water conditions, and the general trends are looking very familiar for this time of year! Here is the breakdown:

🌡️ Temperature: The summer warmup is real. Water temp has increased to 27°C.

📉 Water Level: Down to about 70cm from full capacity due to the dry spell.

✨ Clarity & Oxygen: Water clarity has greatly improved, and oxygen levels are looking fantastic at 125%.

🧪 pH Levels: Sitting at 8.7 (up from 8.0 two weeks ago). This upward trend matches exactly what we saw this time last year.

🌿 Nutrients: Phosphates remain low.

📉 Ammonia & Nitrates: Ammonia (NAT) is very low. Nitrates are on a steady downward trend—now at 0.1mg/L (down from 0.21mg/L last week and 0.76mg/L two weeks ago).

Overall, the water is looking clear and healthy, though we're keeping a close eye on those summer levels and temps! ☀️

🚧 Clubhouse Refurbishment Update: Roofing Works 🚧

As part of our ongoing clubhouse refurbishment project, we’re moving on to the next important phase! A contractor will be on-site carrying out essential repairs to the clubhouse roof.

📅 Dates: 6th to 10th July

⚠️ Important Parking Notice: To allow the contractors safe and easy access, we kindly ask all members and visitors to keep the carpark area outside the kitchen and ladies' changing room completely clear during these dates.

Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our facilities for everyone.

Clubhouse Refresh: As part of our ongoing clubhouse refresh programme, we are thrilled to announce an agreement with Barnt Green Waters Limited to make some much-needed upgrades to our facilities.

Upcoming improvements include:

New Clubhouse Seating: We noticed the existing chairs were deteriorating and no longer met modern safety standards. We will be replacing them with new, comfortable, and practical soft seating that is fully fire-safe.

Changing Room Refresh: The men's changing room floor will be repainted, giving it a clean, fresh look after years of wear and tear.

Great news! ⛵️ The Committee has approved the sale of several club racing boats that are either sitting unused or no longer up to scratch. The aim? A smaller fleet of higher-quality boats that are much easier to maintain! We’ll be pooling the funds from these sales and will hold a consultation soon to get the membership input on what new boat(s) we should buy next.
