The Enterprise Midlands Double Chine Series continues on Sunday 28 June 2026 as the fleet heads to Midland Sailing Club for what promises to be another highly competitive and closely fought inland showdown.
Set against the distinctive backdrop of Edgbaston Reservoir in the heart of Birmingham, Midland SC offers a classic test of inland sailing — rewarding sharp tactical awareness, clean boat handling and the ability to read every shift and pressure line. With its open water and notoriously changeable breeze, competitors can expect racing where consistency and decision-making will be every bit as important as outright speed.
Following a strong start to the 2026 Double Chine campaign at Tamworth and an excellent turnout at Ogston last weekend, momentum in the Midlands fleet continues to build. The resurgence of the Enterprise class during its 70th anniversary year has been one of the standout stories of the season, with growing entry numbers, returning faces and plenty of fresh enthusiasm across the circuit.
Midland’s home sailors will be keen to use local knowledge to their advantage, but visitors from clubs including Shustoke Sailing Club, Tamworth and beyond are expected to ensure the racing at the front remains fiercely contested. Recent form suggests the leaderboard could be wide open, with several teams showing race-winning pace across the opening events.
As ever, the hallmark of the Enterprise class extends beyond the racing itself. The Midlands circuit continues to thrive thanks to its welcoming atmosphere, close camaraderie ashore and strong support from volunteers and host clubs who make these events possible.
With valuable series points available and the season gathering pace, Midland SC promises another superb day of Enterprise racing — tactical, competitive and friendly in equal measure.
Entries and enquiries are welcomed via the Enterprise Class Association and Midland Sailing Club. Visitors can expect a warm welcome and excellent racing.
