A FIFA World Cup final and the mark of La Masia. As many as nine players in this final spent (at least) part of their development at La Masia and are now helping shape world football at the highest level.
The academy's philosophy has stood the test of time and continues to produce outstanding players. Talent is something they were born with, but the education, coaching, and footballing principles they learned at La Masia helped guide them toward the level they have reached today.
Not all of them became stars for Barcelona's first team, but they are undoubtedly aware of how important those formative years were. The knowledge, understanding of the game, and habits developed at the academy are qualities they continue to display on the world's biggest stage.
Nine finalists. One academy.
That says everything about the impact of 🔵🔴🏆

England built a team designed to compete at the highest level, with a clear emphasis on physicality, intensity, pace, and defensive stability.
What is discussed far less is the lack of creativity. When the game became difficult, England football team lacked a player capable of slowing things down, keeping possession under pressure, and taking control through dribbling, passing, or intelligent decision-making. There was no one to change the rhythm of the match and help the team regain composure.
Reaching the FIFA World Cup semi-final is already a significant achievement, but this tournament also highlighted an important weakness in the squad profile.
For the next tournament, the manager should make sure he has at least one creative option capable of bringing control and balance when the game starts slipping away! ⚽🙌

Afraid of Success 🏴? Before the match, I believed England football team had a great chance of reaching the final. But in a FIFA World Cup semi-final, anything can happen.
Tuchel prepared his team to take the lead, but he didn't seem to prepare them for what to do after taking it. The pressure of being one step away from the final appeared to overwhelm both the players and the manager.
After scoring, England stopped playing. Tuchel shifted to an ultra-defensive approach, inviting pressure and allowing Selección Argentina back into the game. From that moment on, everything gradually began to fall apart.
England had everything in their favor to reach the final, but Leo Messi produced another moment of magic. Argentina never stopped believing, the team stayed committed to its idea, and what seemed unlikely became reality.
In matches like these, desire, belief, and collective spirit are often the decisive factors. When those qualities are present, luck tends to follow.
To reach the biggest stage, quality alone isn't enough. You also need courage.
And with Messi leading the way, Argentina certainly had it.
A tough lesson for Tuchel and England.⚽

Poor performances happen. Every team has off days. But what stood out in this match wasn't just France's level—it was the lack of a clear identity.
The players looked mentally unprepared and never seemed convinced they could beat . There was no visible tactical plan to rely on, and without that belief quickly disappeared.
Equipe de France de Football needed to fully commit to one approach:
• A compact defensive block with quick counter-attacks.
• Or an aggressive, high-pressing game to disrupt Spain from the first minute.
Instead, they found themselves somewhere in between. Without a clear direction, the team became disorganized, confidence dropped, and mistakes kept piling up.
Football isn't only about quality. It's about giving your players a structure they can trust. When there's a clear idea, the team believes in it. When there isn't, even world-class players can look lost. ⚽

are through to the FIFA World Cup final after a performance in which they controlled virtually every aspect of the game.
I expected more from Equipe de France de Football , but the biggest difference on the night appeared to be the quality of the coaching staff. From the opening minutes, it was clear that Spain were prepared for every scenario France could offer. They were braver, more aggressive, and tactically organized, while also looking mentally ready for the challenge of a World Cup semifinal.
France, on the other hand, seemed tense and short of ideas. Their attacking play lacked fluidity, and they struggled to find solutions against a Spanish side that always looked one step ahead.
Luis de la Fuente deserves enormous credit and has clearly shown that he is a more complete and effective coach than Didier Deschamps.. His work with this Spanish generation continues to stand out, and once again his team looked better prepared, better structured, and more confident in the biggest moments. In this semifinal, Spain's superiority was not only visible on the pitch—it was also evident on the touchline! Congratulations ⚽👏🇪🇦

Match Preview - An extremely difficult matchup awaits in the second FIFA World Cup semifinal. Neither side has produced particularly attractive football throughout the tournament, but both have shown a strong competitive mentality and a relentless desire to win.
England have been physically dominant, building from a solid defensive structure and transitioning quickly into attack. They possess outstanding technical quality, individual talent, and the intensity needed to compete at the highest level.
Argentina haven't been spectacular, but they remain a team built around Leo Messi and a strong winning mentality. They are likely to stay compact, defend well, and look to capitalize on any mistake while hoping for another moment of Messi magic.
On paper, England have the stronger squad and their physical approach could be a major challenge for Selección Argentina . England also have more players capable of breaking down defensive blocks and creating danger individually.
It should be a close and hard-fought battle, but England football team are the better team both on paper and on the pitch. Their physical dominance, depth, and individual quality should be enough to overcome Argentina and secure a place in the World Cup Final. 🏴⚽

There are always a few players who make you wonder: how were they left out? João Pedro had an outstanding season with Chelsea FC and, in my opinion, would have given CBF • Seleção Brasileira de Futebol another dimension in attack. His movement, link-up play, and finishing could have added even more quality to an already talented squad.
‘’Karim Adeyemi‘‘ could have given DFB-Team exactly what they were missing at times — pace, directness, and a constant threat in transition. His ability to attack space would have offered a completely different option out wide.
Geovany Quenda probably wouldn't have started ahead of Portugal stars, but as an impact substitute, he would have been a fantastic weapon. A special talent with pace, skill, confidence, and endless energy is exactly the kind of player you want to bring off the bench.

March Preview - This feels like the final before the final. Two exceptional teams, and one of the hardest matches of the tournament to predict. But I'll give it a try.
Before the FIFA World Cup even started, I said Equipe de France de Football were my favorites to win the tournament. They are complete in every area of the pitch, but what truly sets them apart is their attack.
It's a front line full of skill, vision, creativity, and individual quality, yet every player is willing to work for the team. They can beat you in so many different ways, and in my opinion, there isn't a defense in this tournament capable of completely stopping them.
have also been outstanding. They have played some of the best football of the tournament, with a style everyone recognizes. The core of this team comes from FC Barcelona , so the chemistry and understanding between the players is already there. They are well-organized, control possession, and have looked very solid defensively.
However, Spain haven't faced an attacking unit of France's quality yet.
That is why I believe France have the edge, and my prediction is that they will reach the World Cup Final. 🇫🇷🏆

It's incredible that even in the VAR era, some players still don't think about the consequences of simulation.
Breel Donald Embolo was already on a yellow card. At that stage of the match, 🇨🇭Nati Men had all the momentum, were pushing Selección Argentina back and looked genuinely capable of completing the comeback.
Instead of staying focused and letting the game unfold, he made a completely unnecessary decision. VAR checked the incident, the referee showed a second yellow card, and Switzerland's momentum disappeared in an instant.
Football at the highest level is decided by moments. One lapse in concentration can undo everything a team has built over 80 minutes.
Stay focused. Every decision matters. ⚽

Yesterday, Elliot Anderson was one of the players who impressed me the most. Against Norway, he controlled the tempo, won duels, recovered possession, fought relentlessly in midfield, and gave England football team the balance they needed in one of their toughest matches of the tournament.
Not every great performance ends with a goal or an assist. Sometimes it's about winning battles, covering every blade of grass, and making everyone around you better.
England needed someone to dominate the midfield.
Anderson did exactly that. 👏🏴
