Match Report: Starz 4–0 Drayton Town (Pre-Season Friendly)
Starz welcomed Drayton Town yesterday for a pre-season friendly, and after a tough start, produced an impressive second-half display to run out 4–0 winners.
Drayton Town began the brighter side, pressing high from the first whistle and putting our defence under pressure. Starz stood firm though, with a solid defensive line and every player working tirelessly to protect the goal.
As the half progressed, we settled into the game, kept the ball better, and began to play our football. Fin came close to giving us the lead, but the Drayton goalkeeper pulled off an outstanding point-blank save.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the last 20 minutes. Kyron struck a superb long-range effort, and Isaac was there to finish and make it 1–0.
Isaac doubled the lead with a moment of real quality, producing a brilliant drag-back to beat his defender before delicately chipping the goalkeeper.
For the third, Frankie turned provider with a great assist for Byron, who fired into the top corner. Bright then wrapped up the scoring, calmly slotting home to complete a strong team performance.

3rd Preseason Game

A really tough game today. We went into half-time 2-0 down, but we changed our tactics and game plan, and the lads carried it out outstandingly.

They looked like a completely different team in the second half, showing great tactical awareness, discipline, and character. We fought our way back into the game, then took control and completed the comeback.

Starz 3-0 Worcester Raiders

A tough pre-season game against a team that beat us heavily last pre-season, and it really showed how much we've improved.

Without a doubt, that was our best performance as a team. We were well organised, solid at the back, communicated brilliantly, stayed patient in possession, and built our attacks well. When our chances came, we took them.

⚽ Seyi grabbed the second and wot a finish that was 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻again from another excellent Frankie corner.
⚽ Seyi sealed the win with a composed finish for our third.

An all-round disciplined, patient, and professional team performance. Plenty to build on.

Pre-season got underway on Sunday and it was a great start. 💪⚽

The lads got valuable minutes in their legs, followed instructions well, and played some really good football throughout. A solid first outing and plenty of positives to build on as we move into the next one.
