Three six year olds all excited about achieving their first kickboxing belt.

Three six year olds that we're still buzzing the next day, one of them is mine so I know.

Three six year olds that have listened, practiced, progressed, taken on board my advice where needed over months to achieve their goal.

Good job my Three little monkeys! (Benjamin, Oscar, Ellis)

Today we congratulate Charlie Robinson on the award of his level three coaching certificate.

Charlie is one of a team of generous young people who give up their time to help coach the juniors in our clubs…

They are excellent role models and help the children tremendously!

For many years now we have used the education structure of the Martial Arts Instructor UK awards for our coaching team.

As people grow and develop through our ranks, we have a recommendation that they get coaching experience as part of their own development.

Learning to coach what you know is an important part of getting you to understand your technique on a detail detailed level.

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”

Well done Charlie!

🥊 More than just kicking and punching.

Our kids' classes are about so much more than learning martial arts.
They’re building confidence.
Learning self control.
Making friends.
Learning to listen.
Learning to lose without giving up.
And learning to win without forgetting to be respectful.
And yes… they get to hit pads really hard too. 😄

That’s the beauty of martial arts.

🥋 Gauldie Says…

"You don’t have to be brilliant when you start.
You just have to start."

Every black belt was once a complete beginner. Every confident student had their first nervous lesson. Every great kick started off looking… well, probably not that great. 😂

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep improving.
The rest comes with time.

🥊 It’s not about being the toughest in the room.

It’s about learning how to stay calm when things get difficult.

At Combat Academy UK, our students learn martial arts, but they also learn respect, discipline, confidence and how to look after the people around them.

Strong enough to stand up for yourself.
Wise enough to know when not to.
That’s what martial arts is really about. 👊
