Size of its tail 🫨

What an awesome way to finish the August Bank Holiday! 🎣

Big Tony — the biggest fish in the lake — has finally shown himself again, and what a weight to do it at!

Last out in February this year, Tony has successfully avoided capture all the way through spring and most of the summer until a few weeks ago, when he slipped up on a Dads & Daughters exclusive booking.

And what a capture it was — a massive 37.8lb! 🤯🔥
A colossal summer weight and another serious milestone for this incredible fish.

Even more interestingly, this was only the second time Big Tony has ever been caught from Peg 4.

The big question now…

Will Big Tony break the 40lb barrier on his next capture if he goes uncaught again for 6 months… 👀

We’ll have to wait and see!

There were plenty of other fish caught during the session too, making for a fantastic few days on the lake. Most importantly, it was brilliant to see such a family and friend-orientated social, with plenty of smiles, memories and great fishing along the way.

Dan and Paul had an epic trip to Combley main lake for the Dan & Paul social. Using our very own 🍑 PPG 🧄 boilie to land some absolute stunners.
30lb and 44lb for Paul
37.5lb, 40lb, 43.08lb and a 50lb PB common for Dan
Along side the PPG, they used the matching bait soak with pellet, h**p and corn in the mix. The big girls couldn’t resist it 🐋

Awesome session lads, you won’t forget that one in a hurry!!

Choosing Peg 1, the pair got stuck into some lovely fish and enjoyed some great sport along the way. 🎣🐟

But more importantly, it’s brilliant to see the smiles, quality time and memories being made together during the summer holidays. ❤️

We’re really pleased to announce that Steve is taking over the catering here Up on Grange, continuing the lakeside food service you know and love — but now running it under his own business, Grange Cafe! 👨‍🍳

And the best bit… GRANGE CAFE OFFICIALLY OPENS TOMORROW — MONDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER! 🎉

Steve will be bringing a fantastic selection of breakfasts, lunches, evening meals, puddings, drinks and snacks, with something available whether you’re after a proper breakfast before heading onto the lake or a hearty meal after a day’s fishing.

On his first session up on Grange, Matt got amongst some lovely scaley carp, as well as the Fat Lip mirror. 👌🐟

Matt was fishing solid bags in the Mangrove, using light flat leads inside to create the perfect presentation over the silt. This helps prevent the rig from burying and becoming ineffective — keeping everything sitting nicely where it needs to be.

He left the lake this morning after his second trip, unfortunately losing all his bites this time around. 😩

Still, a cracking couple of sessions and some lovely fish to show for it!

🎣 Making the most of the summer holidays! 🎣

With the summer holidays coming to an end, and his son certainly made the most of their time on the bank, catching some lovely carp from the Pipe Swim — including the Pig Common! 🐷🎣

Their friend also got amongst them from the Rockery Swim, banking some well-earned 20lb+ carp of his own. 💪

Great angling from you lads as always, and brilliant to see you all enjoying your time at TWW! 👏

🎣 A great two-night session for Ben Wright 🎣

A few weeks back, Ben enjoyed a cracking two-night session, landing a lovely mirror known as Fat Lip, along with some stunning 20lb+ carp.

The highlight came in the shape of a fish that has since been named The Gem, weighing in at a fantastic 28lb. 💎

A beautiful stamp of fish throughout and some cracking angling from Ben. He’s been experimenting with rigs and lead set ups and he’s got it all correct this session!!

All the fish were caught using a combination of Big Al boilies, stick mixes and glugs — clearly doing the business! 🔥

Last-minute booking from Joe on his latest 24 hours up on Grange, and he did what Joe does best… went completely out of the way of everyone else, tucked himself away in a corner, and landed one within minutes! 😂

Another during the night, followed by one more mid-morning before it was time to head home. This time he also managed to add the Flower Common to the album too.

David Williams Social 🎣

The lads were back on Up on Grange last week for another cracking David Williams social, and what a session it turned out to be!

Despite the hot weather, plenty of fish were caught, and I believe everyone managed to get on the scoresheet, which was brilliant to see. As we all know, the heat has been intense recently, but the bites keep coming here Up on Grange! ☀️🎣

It was great to witness the draw for swims at the start of the session too. Plenty of banter flying around as always, and then there was Mr Daintree Danny Daintree doing what he does best… taking 1st place, the trophy and the cash prize! 🏆💰

Some of the named fish that made an appearance included:

🐟 The Deformed Mouth Common caught by Danny
🐟 The Special One from Peg 1
🐟 Shoulders also caught by Danny

A brilliant few days with a great bunch of lads, plenty of laughs and plenty of carp. Exactly what a social should be about!
