Band assisted press-ups are one of the best ways to hit explosive power for the upper body in our opinion.

◾️ If there is such a thing as a perfect squat then you’ll see it when a toddler picks a toy up from the floor.
◾️ We all started squatting like this but as the years roll on, we naturally become lazier and seek new and quicker movement patterns. (Typically bending in the back and reaching down to the ground)
◾️Next time you are cracking you’re squat sessions have a think about how your younger self would conduct the movement and you won’t go far wrong 💪🏼

Wanting to work on your pull ups??
This for me is one of the best regressions to help you along the way to a full pull up.
The reason for the this is because of the similarity the bands create to the real thing.
Using lat pull down machines and assisted pull up machines have a place in your routine, However to really achieve the same stimulus around the trunk and stabiliser muscles there really is no other way!
Placing the bands on the rack like we have done in this video is also an easier way to carry out banded pull ups on your own without having to worry about getting your foot caught in a hanging band!
