Day 2 National Navigation Award Scheme Silver Award again today and the weather gods have been nice to us.

Opportunity today in the dry to complete the course objectives and put the new and refreshed skills to the test.

Day 1 of our National Navigation Awards Silver Award for Austrian Alpine Club (UK) - Alpenverein Britannia

We had a poor weather forecast to deal with, which resulted in some attendees deciding not to travel.

My courses run regularly throughout autumn, winter adding an extra layer of reality to them. Anyone can navigate under a blue sky in the middle of summer when high pressure is in control.

But, It's when the wind is blowing the rain sidewards, and visibility is poor that really puts your kit and navigational system to the test.

Looking forward to a dry day tomorrow though...😉
