Dear Students,

I'm excited to invite you to the Yeovil 2026 Gasshuku, an incredible weekend training camp that brings together karate practitioners for intensive training, grading opportunities, and great camaraderie.

Event Details:

Dates: 20–22 November 2026
Location: Westfield Academy, Yeovil
Training Schedule:
Friday: 5–8pm
Saturday: 9am–4pm (including grading)
Sunday: 9am–1pm
This gasshuku is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your skills, challenge yourself, and test your abilities in a supportive environment. Whether you're aiming to grade, refine your technique, or simply immerse yourself in intensive training, this event has something valuable for everyone.

Important Note for Advanced Students: If you're expecting to be put forward for black belt in the near future, attendance at these training camps is essential. This is a key requirement for your progression and gives you vital exposure to higher-level training and assessment at an international level.

Flexible Options: With various pricing tiers for 1, 2, or 3 days, you can choose what works best for your schedule. Fees range from £15 to £75 depending on your category and days attended.

Accommodation Available: Several hotel options are conveniently located nearby, making it easy to stay over and make the most of the weekend.

A great set of classes on Monday - and we had an unexpected visitor !
Practising Geki Sai Dai Ichi on a 1m square mat and also only using the right arm - oh and eyes closed !!
