Ended up a bit of a scrappy game on a bobbly pitch, but the boys dug in and comfortably won the game.

They did the damage in the first 2nd couple of quarters. Much the better team and had plenty of shots and chances but their keeper made plenty of good saves to keep us out.

Another clean sheet as well, some good saves by freddie and good defending by the lads at the back when called upon.

Well done to James on Liberty Group M.O.T.M. came on and made an instant impact, great feet and skill for the assist for the 1st goal and another great delivery for the 2nd. But battled hard throughout and showed that quality when we needed it. 👏

It was a tough day against a well-organised team, made even harder by the horrendous weather conditions.

There’s plenty we can take from today into training on Wednesday, and I’m sure the lads will bounce back stronger next week. They know what they need to do. 💪

We created some good chances but just weren’t as clinical in front of goal as we have been recently. There were a couple of dubious decisions that went against us, but that’s football, we have to deal with it, keep our heads up and play to the whistle.

Well done to our Castle Carpets & Flooring man of the match Wyatt! Wyatt produced amazing saves in our match today and kept the score down to a minimum.

No one could ever say our boys lack passion.

Another tough start to the game, and I think again it was just a case of getting caught off guard once or twice.

The extra man helped us to steady ourselves and from there on out we started plying football like we know how to.

They all tried really hard and it is clear to see are not fans of losing 🤣. With the confidence came some goals and we started to hit back reducing the deficit. Not a win today, but lots to learn from.

A solid performance today from the parents player, running all over the pitch as per his crusader nickname, tackling hard and creating chances.

Coaches player built through the game, finding form, becoming more composed and worked to support the team and had impact all over the field.

This morning, Crusaders U9s Whites played away in our second league game of the season against a tough team. They all deserved a huge pat on the back as they each put in a superb amount of effort, worked well as a team, showed great intensity and an overall brilliant performance from each player! 🟢⚪️

Lots of goals worth celebrating, with Ben bagging himself four goals ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ , Evan with two goals ⚽️⚽️, and new signing Mir also grabbing two goals on his debut!! ⚽️⚽️ Huge well done boys! 🔥🔥

Today’s man of the match was Evan, who showed great skill with his passing, dribbling and of course scored two superb goals along with a clever assist, very deserving to say the least.👏🏼👏🏼

Shout out our other new signing Cohen for showing his class on his Crusaders debut and adding that extra bit grit in midfield 👌🏽.

Overall, an outstanding morning for Crusaders Whites, smiles on everyone’s faces and with momentum after 2 wins from 2 league matches into next week.

Crusaders U11 Reds claim their 1st ever 3 points

Nigh on perfect performance today from the lads, excellent performances all over the pitch.

A bit unfortunate to go a goal down but the lads stuck to the task. Composed on the ball, defensively solid and deadly offensively, it was a fine display.

Absolutely unbelievable save from Lenny at 4:1 was a momentum shifter!

4 goals in the second half rounded off an excellent team performance.

Today the Under 8 Whites faced a return home match against a much improved Rossington Yellows.

Both teams played some good football, with Crusaders edging the chances after some great passing and hard work.

In the end Crusaders came out on top with 2 great goals.

Coaches & Parent’s really were proud of the battling performance and hard work.

🟢⚪️⚽️ Crusaders U8s Blue ⚽️⚪️🟢

Under 8 Blues had their second game of the season today against a very tough Carcroft team who have been together a year, so are a year older than the boys.

We stared slow and were behind straight away with their first attack. It took us a few minutes to wake up, but once we did we started to get a foot hold in the game and were soon back level.

We grew in confidence and although Carcroft were enjoying some success, our Keeper Zak pulled off some great saves!

2 wins out of 2 so far but this game was exactly what we needed after a more dominant performance last week. A real team performance!

⚽ Match Report: Crusaders vs Denaby ⚽

A strong team performance from the boys today. Denaby opened the scoring in the first quarter after Crusaders had created several opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net!

The team responded positively, continued to work hard and were eventually rewarded with a bullet of a goal from James.

From that point, the boys settled into the match well. They moved the ball effectively, communicated well and showed excellent organisation on the pitch.

Oscar scored the next goal, followed by another from James, before Teddy and Luke also found the back of the net. 👏⚽️

Well done to Oscar for getting this weeks Liberty Group MOTM. Got stuck in all over the field, winning the ball back and getting us driving forward, great feet dribbling and beating a man and a superb finish for his well deserved goal.

Most importantly, it was fantastic to see the boys enjoying their football, playing with confidence and maintaining positive attitudes throughout the match with a big smile on their faces!
