Well done to all involved!

A reminder that Belfast City Inclusion's training returns on 5th August. There has already been a lot of interest from people about joining our juniors and seniors after the summer. Get in contact or attend a session to become involved in the 2026/27 season.

And a thank you to each player that put on the City shirt this season, and a fond farewell to those that have decided to hang the boots up after a successful 12 months with BCI.

☀️ What a way to kick off a brand new tradition!
The inaugural BCI Family & Friends Cup was a fantastic success, with 8 brilliant teams taking to the pitch for an afternoon packed with football, laughs and plenty of memorable moments.

🏆 Congratulations to Ciaran's Fringe Five, who lifted the BCI Family & Friends Cup after running away with the final against Brian's Shooters & Tooters.

🥇 In the Best of the Rest Final, Chris' Pancake Rubber Faces came out on top in a hard fought contest against JJ's Bottle Jobs, who perhaps lived up to their team name just a little too much in the end! 😄

More important than the trophies, though, was seeing players, family members, friends, coaches and supporters all enjoying the day together. That's exactly what Belfast City Inclusion is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who made today possible, including all of the players, supporters, referees and organisers. Your enthusiasm and support created a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish.

💚 We now have just one event left before we close the curtain on an unforgettable first season as a club.

🏆 The prizes are ready...

Tomorrow we celebrate not only the inaugural BCI Family & Friends Cup, but also Belfast City Inclusion's first anniversary.

What a way to mark our first year as a club. From our very first training session to tomorrow's celebration with players, families and friends, it's been an incredible journey.

Eight teams. One champion. Who will be lifting the cup?

What a week. What a year.

Our D Team lifted the Mary Peters Community Cup following nail-biting penalty shootout victories in both the semi-final and final. The boys and girls played brilliant football on a wet and muddy pitch, but the encouragement and support they showed each other was second to none.

This is now the third time in four years that this group of players and coaches has brought the trophy home, which is a fantastic achievement and the perfect way to end the season.

Congratulations to Joseph, Bobby, Marie, Pearse, Cathy, James and Corrie on their achievement, and a huge thank you to coaches Mark and Jim for their support throughout.

Our C Team were outstanding as well, going nine games without conceding a goal before injuries and tired legs finally caught up with our young squad in the semi-final. Despite finishing the match with only four players against eventual winners, the team never gave up and received high praise from the referee for their outstanding performances across both days.

Well done to Kevin-Barry, JJ, Reuben, Eoghan, Jason, Shane and Gerard.

The B Team found themselves in a very tough group and narrowly missed out on a semi-final place after recording two wins from four matches. The boys showed tremendous determination competing against high-ability opposition throughout the tournament.

Well done to Warren, Matt, Jim, Oran, Paddy and Joseph.

Finally, a huge well done to our A Team. After a flying start on day one, difficult weather conditions and injuries affected their performances on day two. Despite the disappointment, this group has enjoyed plenty of success throughout the season and should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to Sean, Curtis, Chris, Emmanuel, Ciaran and Marty.

A massive thank you also goes to all of our coaches, volunteers and our extra drivers, Marie, Brian and Emma, who gave up their time to support the players over the two days.

At Belfast City Inclusion, football is important, but friendship, teamwork and supporting one another will always come first. We couldn't be prouder of every player who represented the club this week and throughout our first season together.
