✅️Trojans 2–4 Brantwood FC

🔥The Brants stun league leaders Trojans with a statement away win.

Brantwood produced a superb away performance today, coming from behind to beat league leaders Trojans 4–2 and bring all three points back up the road to Belfast.

Tyler Douglas got the visitors off to the perfect start in the 9th minute, finishing well to put Brantwood ahead. Trojans responded with a quickfire double in the 20th and 22nd minutes to turn the game on its head.

The Brants showed real character, however, and were level again in the 33rd minute when Jordy Bright slipped the ball superbly past the Trojans keeper into the net. Just seven minutes later, Aaron McClean completed the turnaround after a great passage of play, sending Brantwood into half-time 3–2 ahead.

Brantwood continued to push after the break and were rewarded again in the 58th minute. Douglas' pace proved too much for the Trojans goalkeeper, who brought the Brantwood forward down inside the box. McClean stepped up from the spot and made no mistake, putting the Brants 4–2 ahead.
From there, Brantwood showed tremendous discipline and determination to see the game out and secure a huge three points against the league leaders.

With a number of notable players unavailable, the result is an even bigger reflection of the squad's strength and mentality. Every player who pulled on the shirt today gave everything they had, with everyone playing their part in a memorable away victory.

A special mention also goes to Myles Mateer, who made his Brantwood debut between the sticks and played his part in a fantastic team performance.

The mentality and character were superb today from The Brants. Now the key is consistency as we are back in action on Tuesday night, home to Inspired FC.
