The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has officially rejected Asswehly SC’s request for international clearance for Zambian winger Lameck Banda.

The request was submitted by the Libyan club through the Libyan Football Federation after Asswehly reportedly reached an agreement with Banda’s camp.

Banda and his camp maintain that he currently has no valid contract with US Lecce, while Lecce insist that the player remains under contract until June 2027.

Following the latest development, Lecce are now reportedly preparing to take the matter to FIFA.

Another interesting twist: Lameck Banda has reportedly parted ways with his agent and is now working with his family and lawyers as the transfer saga continues.
