Swim Belfast

Last week our Junior and Senior National squads travelled to Cyprus for a tough week of training!

Plenty of kilometres were swam and tans topped up☀️🏊‍♂️👙

Day one got the weekend off to a fantastic start with some great performances in the morning session.

Competing at his first Irish Championships, Calvin produced a cracking personal best in the 100m Breaststroke, finishing an impressive 20th overall in Ireland.

Our two butterfly girls both booked their places in the 50m Butterfly finals that evening. Annie delivered a brilliant personal best from lane 8 to win the B final, while Peggy produced a huge PB to claim the bronze medal in the A final.

The girls also enjoyed strong performances in the 200m Freestyle and 200m Backstroke B finals, both lowering the times they had set earlier in the morning heats.

On Saturday our speedy swimmers won their Div 4 ‘A’ final down in Craigavon!! Amazing swimming from everyone involved and we’re looking forward to moving up again next season!
