🐉💚💜Congratulations to Our Incredible Lagan Dragons! 💜💚🐉

A huge congratulations to our fantastic paddlers, Hilly Ross and Karen Martin, who proudly represented Lagan Dragons at the European Dragon Boat Championships in Munich.

An outstanding performance from Karen Martin, racing with the GB Breast Cancer Paddlers, bringing home an incredible four silver medals in the 200m, 500m, 1000m and 2000m events. What an amazing achievement and a true reflection of your hard work, dedication and determination. Congratulations Karen! 🥈🥈🥈🥈

A huge well done also to Hilly Ross, proudly representing Ireland in three events. Competing against some of the strongest crews in Europe, Ireland’s best result was an impressive 5th place in a highly competitive field. You should be incredibly proud of your performances and the commitment you’ve shown throughout your training and racing.

Both Karen and Hilly have represented Lagan Dragons with pride, passion and sportsmanship, inspiring us all with their dedication to the sport and to the Breast Cancer Paddling community.

Everyone at Lagan Dragons is immensely proud of you both. Congratulations on your fantastic achievements, we can’t wait to hear all about your experiences in Munich!

🐉 A Busy Summer Ahead for Lagan Dragons! 🐉💜

As our club heads into an exciting summer of racing and competition, we’d like to wish the very best of luck to all of our members taking on new challenges.

A huge good luck to Hilly Ross and Karen Martin as they continue their incredible journeys with the Irish International Women’s Dragon Boat Team and
Team GB Dragon Boat Breast Cancer Paddlers . After months of hard work, dedication and training, they’ll be travelling to Munich in July to compete at the European Championships. We are so proud of everything you’ve achieved and can’t wait to cheer you on!

A very special good luck also to our paddlers travelling to 2026 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival, France Aix-les-Bains. This event is about so much more than racing it’s a celebration of strength, resilience, friendship and the incredible spirit of the breast cancer paddling community. We hope you have a fantastic experience, make wonderful memories and enjoy every moment representing both Lagan Dragons and the wider paddling family.💜

Meanwhile, many of our paddlers are continuing to train hard as they prepare for the Donegal Dragons regatta at the end of July. Your commitment, teamwork and determination are what make this club so special.

It’s shaping up to be a very busy and exciting summer for Lagan Dragons, we couldn’t be prouder of every single member representing our club. Whether you’re competing on the international stage, travelling with our paddlers or training for Donegal, you are all ambassadors for our club.

Wishing every one of you safe travels, strong paddling and the very best of luck. Most of all, enjoy the journey and make memories that will last a lifetime.
