The marathon is such a great analogy for life. With 18 weeks of training and 9 weeks off the drink, you can prepare as much as possible, but eventually it comes down to staying calm when things get hard and refusing to quit when your mind tells you to.

Without doubt the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced physically and mentally, but somehow we snuck under the goal of 4 hours with a 3:59:44 finish.

Massive thank you to Cora for being my rock throughout this entire journey and sacrificing so much to help me chase this goal. You are genuinely my inspiration. To all my friends and family who came out to support — every cheer, every sign and every bit of encouragement made such a difference when I needed it most, even if I didn’t feel that way at the time.

You can do hard things.

🔦 Client Spotlight - Megan ⁣

Megan has really smashed the short time she has been with Bia, and the changes in the photos above are only a small part of the progress she has made ⬆️ ⁣

In just over 12 weeks (in a period that included Christmas) she improved her knowledge of nutrition, her training and various lifestyle metrics, with practical guidelines and weekly accountability check-ins, allowing her to reach her goals 📊⁣

By improving understanding of calories, macronutrients, and the psychology around weekly planning Megan was able to enjoy indulging over Christmas, takeaways, and drinks with family and friends, improving her confidence in her diet and removing any guilt associated with food or drink 🥂⁣

As gyms were closed, we kept 'at home' workouts fresh and varied to make them more enjoyable, while keeping the ultimate goal in mind 🏋🏻‍♀️⁣

Additionally, we worked together to focus on the time outside of training, making time for her in a challenging lockdown period - enjoying walks, time for mindfulness, yoga, cooking new recipes and optimising sleep, overall contributing to an improved lifestyle 🧘🏻‍♀️⁣
