The countdown is officially on! The fonaCAB Development League returns for the 2026/27 season on Saturday 1st August, and we're delighted to announce that 250 teams have already entered.

Every weekend, thousands of young players will take to the pitch in Northern Ireland's biggest grassroots development league, with a focus on player development, enjoyment and creating the best possible playing environment.

There is still time for clubs to join us before the new season kicks off, but places are filling fast across all age groups.

The response to the 2026/27 fonaCAB Development League has been incredible!

We're delighted to announce that we have now reached 230 team entries across our:

⚽ 2019 (5v5 + GK)
⚽ 2020 (4v4)
⚽ 2021 (3v3)

A huge thank you to every club that has already entered. Your support continues to make the league one of the biggest grassroots football programmes in Northern Ireland.

📋 The draft groups have now been published, but registrations remain OPEN. If your club is still looking to enter a team, there's still time to get involved before the season kicks off on Friday 1st August.

👧 Girls' groups will be announced very soon, with another fantastic level of interest already received.

Our Girls Only Leagues are designed to create the right environment — more confidence, more touches, more friendships and more opportunities.

For the 2026/27 season we will continue building pathways for the next generation of female players.
