Joan Somers celebrated her Lady Captain’s Day on Saturday 22nd August, with club members enjoying a fantastic day of golf.

Members took to the course across a mix of 9-hole and 18-hole tee times, with most of the club’s Lady members taking part.

𝗨𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲🏌️‍♀️

Castlereagh Hills Golf Course hosted the prestigious Ulster Under 19 Girls Inter-club Tournament on Monday 3rd August. This was the sixth year the competition has been held at the course.

A total of 18 clubs participated in the competition with Portstewart Golf Club taking victory in the Ulster North section and Belvoir Park Golf Club winning the Ulster South section. Both teams will now go on to compete in the All-Ireland Final.

Councillor Sharon Lowry, Chair of the Communities and Wellbeing Committee, said, “It’s fantastic to see another junior tournament take place at Castlereagh Hills Golf Course, following the success of the boys event last month.

Today’s competition showcased excellent talent and sportsmanship. Events like this play an important role in developing the next generation of golfers.

I would like to thank Golf Ireland for organising the event and wish both Portstewart Golf Club and Belvoir Park Golf Club every success as they progress to the next stage of the competition.”

More than 200 golfers came together at Castlereagh Hills Golf Course on Saturday 1 August to celebrate Bryan Dallas Captain's Day.

The event concluded with a meal at the The Hills Bar & Restaurant , where golfers enjoyed an evening of entertainment and an eagerly awaited prize presentation.
