Join us on a Tuesday & Thursday for coached training, or Wednesday and the weekend for social runs. β€œWork together to accomplish more” – That’s our club motto. At Orangegrove AC we like to race in all varieties of competitive races including road races, trail, track and field, cross country and ultra endurance events. Joining a club and being part of a team really enhances these experiences.

It was a warm one at Tuesday training last night. Quote of the evening has to be "what is this nonsense?" πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ₯΅

But we were there and got it done!

🧑 Join Us for Tuesday Training β€” All Abilities Welcome!

Thinking about getting into running or looking for a friendly group to train with? Come join us this Tuesday at 6pm, meeting at Dixon Playing Fields.

We’ll jog together as a group to Grosvenor Grammar School track, where we’ll split into three ability‑based groups β€” so whether you’re brand new, building confidence, or chasing a PB, there’s a group that will suit you.

The session is simple, supportive and easy to follow:
We’ll run relaxed 1200m intervals, focusing on good technique and finishing each rep a little stronger. No pressure, no racing β€” just steady improvements at your own pace.

We finish with a gentle jog back to Dixon and some stretches together.

If you’ve been thinking about joining a club, this is the perfect time to give it a go. Friendly faces, no judgement, and a session designed to help you feel stronger with every lap.

Come along β€” we’d love to see you. 🧑

Club Championship Race 6 – Fairhill 5 Mile Road Race

The first part of this race was a challenge in itself! Finishing work, battling through Belfast traffic and hoping Ballymena wouldn’t feel a million miles away. Thankfully, we made it to the start line on time.

The results are:

Male:
28:49 β€” Andrew Carson
28:53 β€” Andrew McIntyre
30:38 β€” Keith Weir
34:46 β€” Sean Tanuvasa

39:52 β€” Philip Hamilton

36:22 β€” Shelley Bennett
41:53 β€” Kimberley Reynolds
45:36 β€” Elaine Weston

πŸ† Championship Highlights
1st Female: Gemma Blake β€” 20 championship points
1st Male: Andy Carson β€” 20 championship points

Lifetime Bests: Huge congratulations to Shelley Bennett and Andrew Carson on achieving PBs over the 5‑mile distance.

Thank you to Ballymena Runners for a great event!!!

πŸ”œ Next Up: Naked parkrun – Saturday 20th June
No watches. No pacing tools. Just run! There's a spot prize for the best race pic!!
