Rory O’Connor from Lagan Scullers is taking on an incredible challenge: rowing a single scull across the North Channel, Carrickfergus to Portpatrick.

He’s aiming to break the record, under 3 hours 35 minutes, while raising funds for the Neonatal Unit at Ulster Hospital, who recently cared for his son.

What a fantastic day at Belfast Rowing Club for the President's BBQ and Fun Regatta! 🚣🚣🚣

A huge congratulations to all of our winners and to everyone who took part, making the day such a success. A special milestone for the club as we launched our first-ever BRC Octuple.

A massive thank you to our President, Sheila, for all of her hard work organising the event. As always, your efforts made it another memorable day at BRC.

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported, rowed, cheered and helped out. Days like these remind us what a great community we have at Belfast Rowing Club.
