Congratulations to BKA's newest Sho Dan.
Corey started his journey more than 5 years ago and in that time he has applied himself by training all sessions available.
In addition he offers time as part of the Junior Development Coach programme, teaching key principles to our younger students.
Outside the dojo he has been a regular on our squads entering Regional competitions.
BKA are proud to welcome Corey as he takes his place on the Yudansha and we look forward to watching his progress as he continues his training as a Dan grade. 👊👊👊

Karate is a largely self funded endeavour and as a former competitor who paid their own way across Europe to enter competitions I understand the commitment required, particularly when there is no help offered by club or association.
Fortunately these two talented athletes have already benefitted from the generosity of not only their supporters but also their Governing Body (Northern Ireland Karate Board ,through SportNI/ Lottery funding).
Belfast Karate Academy will also provide a bursary for athletes selected to represent their country.
Talent and ability should not come hand in hand with financial hardship.
With this in mind please keep supporting and sharing this campaign to encourage support for Kaelan and Darcey in the lead up to the Commonwealth Championships this November.
