The up's and down's of running a Classic F1 Car Click on About to learn more about 195/3 and 101/3
We have now replaced 101/3 with 195/3
As the Lotus has been sold to a European collector So Jordan Peugeot 195 chassis no 3 is the replacement.195/3 competed in the 1995
F1 season and was driven by Eddie Irvine with a best result of Third place in the Canadian GP.
195/3 was sold by Jordan GP and then spent more than a decade in the Peugeot museum in Sochaux France . Then at some point
around 2009 was sold to a French racer who was going to compete in the Boss series but this never happened. 195/3 had some renovation work carried out very poorly I must add Then I bought and collected her from a village near Magny Cours in Southern France in late 2019 . So another learning curve and rebuild begins .Hope you enjoy the Photos and info.
Camel Lotus/ Judd type 101 chassis no 3 of four 3.5ltr normally aspirated V8 producing in excess of 600bhp
101/3 is the third 101 produced from a total of four and was driven in the first GP of 1989 by world champion driver Nelson Piquet and then for the remainder of the season by Satoru Nakajima who drove 101/3 to a career best result of 4th place
in the Australian GP He also came away with a fastest lap from the same race. Team Lotus achieved 6th place in the world championship in 1989 with the 101.
101/3 was then bought from Team Lotus in 1990 by a private collector and was not used for some twenty years
I purchased her looking a bit sad and neglected in Jan of 2010 restored her to former glory and most of what has happened since is on this page . Hope you enjoy the page as much i have enjoyed owning and running her
