We are incredibly proud to announce that markdmillican.co.uk is officially sponsoring the web design and hosting for the Belfast Star Basketball Club! This sponsorship will run throughout the upcoming season, from 2nd July 2026 until September 2028, powering the club's digital home at belfaststar1964.org.

Championing a Local Legacy

Belfast Star is a true cornerstone of our local sporting community. The club was founded in 1964 by Dr Liam Conlon, MBE CBE, who had the visionary idea to form a basketball club in North Belfast Aided by a young Bill McCotter, the Star of the Sea Basketball Club was born, evolving from its origins on the Shore Road at the foot of St Mary's Greencastle Primary School

Today, the team's pedigree speaks for itself:

They are 3-Time Irish National League Champions, having claimed the title in 1998, 1999 & 2020

They compete fiercely in the Irish Super League, maintaining a strong focus on top-tier youth development and cross-community engagement

Their high-octane home games are hosted at the Newforge Sports Complex, Belfast where local talent meets international experience.
