Come and Slow Down with us

One of the biggest benefits of yoga is that it gives you time to slow down.

For an hour, there’s nowhere else to be and nothing else to do except focus on your breath and your movement.

It’s something we all need more of, and it’s even better when shared with a room full of people doing the same. That’s one of the things we love most about our Yoga Quarter community.

Aoife is one of our lead teacher trainers and a familiar face to many in the Yoga Quarter community.

Her Vinyasa Flow classes are creative, energising and thoughtfully sequenced, giving you space to explore your practice while building strength, mobility and confidence on the mat. She also teaches Restorative Yoga, offering a chance to pause, unwind and take some time for yourself.

If you haven't made it to one of Aoife's classes yet, why not join her this week?

One of the things we love most about yoga is that everyone comes to the mat for a different reason.

Some come for strength, some for flexibility, some for a moment of calm in a busy week. Over time, many discover something else too, a sense of connection, belonging and community.

We're grateful to share space with people who support, encourage and inspire one another, both on and off the mat. The benefits of yoga go far beyond the physical practice, and our community is proof of that.

There's something lovely about taking your yoga practice outside. The fresh air, the open space and the sounds of nature all help you slow down and enjoy being present.

From June to September, we'll be moving our Tuesday evening class to Stormont. Join us each week to stretch, breathe and unwind in one of Belfast's most beautiful settings.

Bring an extra layer and a blanket for when the temperature drops. A towel under your mat can be helpful too.

We'll be there unless it's really pouring with rain.

Enter through the Massy Avenue entrance and look up to your left, you'll find us there.

See you there tonight!

We often talk about breath in yoga, but what is the importance?

Your breath has a direct connection to your nervous system.

Fast, shallow breathing can signal stress and keep the body in a heightened state.

Slow, steady breathing helps tell the body that it’s safe, supporting relaxation, grounding and emotional balance.

This is why breathwork is such an important part of yoga practice .
