Calling all senior women water polo players!

Drogheda Water Polo Club is expanding our senior women's squad, and we want you in the pool with us this September 🏐

Whether you are a former player dusting off your cap or you have recently moved to Ireland and want to find a fantastic, family-vibe community, this is your sign to dive back in 🌊

We train out of the world-class Sport Ireland National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown.
Joining our squad is the perfect way to build a great social circle, stay highly active, and compete at a strong level.

Throughout September 2026, we are running completely free try-out sessions with zero commitment.

Tuesdays: 7:30 PM
Wednesdays: 8:00 PM
Location: National Aquatic Centre (NAC), Blanchardstown, Dublin

Cost: Completely free for the whole month

What to bring: Just your togs and a towel

📣 Spinathon for Theodore – Let's Ride Together! 🚴💙

On Friday, 14th August, we're coming together at Aura Drogheda for a Spinathon to support Theodore and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Many of you will know Theodore's dad, Kevin, who has been a valued Duty Manager at Aura Drogheda and a dedicated member of our team for the past 18 years. Now it's our turn to support him and his family.

💙 One Team. One Cause.
This special fundraiser will take place across all 12 Aura Leisure Centres, across Ireland with every site spinning together from 7:00am to 7:00pm in support of Theodore and his family. Together, we'll be working towards one incredible goal while showing the strength of the Aura community.

💙 How you can get involved:
🚴 Sign up for a bike at Reception.
⏰ Choose a time slot that suits you.
🚴‍♀️ We'll have 4 bikes set up at Reception throughout the day.
📏 Once you've finished your ride, simply let the Reception team know the distance you've covered.

🧁 Aqua Aerobics Bake Sale
Our Aqua Aerobics community will also be hosting a Bake Sale on Friday, 14th August, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the fundraiser. Be sure to stop by, grab a treat, and help support this wonderful cause!

First woman home in the Greystones Wicklow Swim which took place today at South Beach in Greystones as part of the Swim Ireland Open Water Events National Open Water Series.

Our 2011 Boys National Training Squad have returned home from their week long training camp, also in Croatia at 🇭🇷

A great week of preparation and learning for the boys and staff 💪
