So that is the final, final day of the Wheelchair Basketball Season bringing 2026 at a close with the 3X3 Tournament at Newforge.

In a highly competitive day of Basketball, you will be delighted to know that it was again a Knights final.

Our Knights/Bull team: 🏀 Bull in a Chinashop, Matt R, Matt D & Colin from the Bulls finished 2nd in a fiercly fought game taking
🏀Three Spokes: Nathan, Luke and lucky charm Lisa (2025 winning team member) to extra time to win 12points to 10.

Shout out to 🏀 Pass it toMorrow: Katie, Mark, Peter & Finn and 🏀Tripple X: Mary Peter & Ronan. Great job some great wins today.

Tomorrow is the final, final day of the 🏀2025/2026 Wheelchair Basketball Season🏀.
A fun day of 3X3 games. Knights have 4 teams entered the competition and will fiercely defend our honour to retain the sought after trophy for the third time.

Isn't it great when our Mary McCabe and Matthew Rollston are recognised in DSNI League Awards for Sportsmanship & MVP respectively. KWBC are very proud of you both 💛💜

That is a wrap for the 2025/26 Disability Sport NI Wheelchair Basketball League and a win for The KnightMares.🏆💜💛

🏀 It was an all Knights final with a highly competitive Thors Hammers⚒️ defending against KnightMares🐴 to keep their title and their name on the cup. It was only fair that KnightMares got to take the win. It may have been extremely competitive on court, but both teams will return to training the best of mates. 3X3 Tournament up next 💛💜

Congratulations to all the League Teams and to BCWolves for their Vase win, amazing play all season. Shout out to Pablo and all the DSNI Officials for a great season.

Well, how did we get to the end of the season so quickly!

Last training session tonight before Disability Sport NI Wheelchair Basketball League comes to an end for 2025/26 this Saturday at Newforge. KnightMares are up in the first semi final of the day against Bangor Bulls Wheelchair Basketball Club and in Game 3 Thors Hammers are up against Craigavon Lakers Wheelchair Basketball Club

2 great games that our 2 awesome teams will face with the same grit & determination they always do to challenge for the end of season Trophy.

🏀The Knights are delighted to finish in the 1st & 2nd spots in the DSNI Wheelchair Basketball League and are now looking towards Finals Day on 9th May 2026 at Newforge.

Game Day 7, hosted by Craigavon Lakers did not play out as we had hoped. A nail-biting day with both KnightMares and Thors Hammers narrowly missing out on the wins against BC Werewolves and Craigavon Lakers respectively, congratulations to both teams for very competitive games.

Thankfully Thors Hammers won their second game of the day against Causeway Giants and Knightmares second game albeit cancelled against Bangor Bulls, took a 20-0 win.
