The squad for tonight’s game at the Hoval. Good to see a lot of chances for other players in the Shield match.

Well folks, tonight sees a wee run over to the Hoval to take on ‘them uns’! 🔵⚪️🔴

The County Antrim Shield gives the manager a great opportunity to give some valuable game time and experience to lads within the squad and, hopefully, a chance for them to show exactly what they can do.

Of course, every derby is a game you want to win and there’s no doubt the bragging rights will be up for grabs! 😂 But with injuries already starting to take their toll and our squad looking a bit thin, protecting the players we have available has to be the priority.

Hopefully we can get through the game with no more injuries, give some of the lads a chance to impress and, of course, come home with the win! 💙

Safe travels to everyone heading over tonight and get right behind the Blues!

So, a very professional win away at Limavady on Saturday!

Another three points on the board and a really solid performance from the Blues on our first away day of the season.

Goals from Fitzpatrick in the first half and Frizzell in the second capped off what was a very controlled and professional display from Linfield.

The only downside, and unfortunately a big one, was seeing Darragh Leahy stretchered off with what looked like a nasty injury. Darragh has been excellent in the games so far, so hopefully it’s not as serious as it first appeared and we see him back on the pitch soon.

All in all, a job well done on the road. Onto the next one! 🔵⚪️🔴

At last some good news. This lad is rated as a big loss to Cork where he played last season so here’s hoping he gets the chance in the squad. Welcome to the Blues Kitt!

That was another excellent performance from the team tonight. Once again, they left absolutely everything on the pitch and I don’t think anyone could question the effort from start to finish!

Are we perfect? No, but the players we have gave everything tonight and that’s all we can ask. Plenty to build on and we move on to the next one! 💙

Next up, it’s a trip away to Limavady and hopefully we can take a big away support with us, despite the number of people who’ll be missing because of the Black Saturday parades.

Ironically, the Friday night would probably have suited us better! 😂

Could go either way tonight. Cliftonville flying so far with the deal finally going through this week their tails should be up. We had a great result last week with them uns which definitely gave the place a lift. We certainly still have a good first eleven and with the much talked of discussions ongoing around ownership with little understandingly out in the public domain still.

Well here we go… the Big Two derby — the Belclassico! 🔵⚪🔴

After last week, it’s hard to head into today with a huge amount of confidence that we’ll see a stunning performance, especially when the team that started last week was arguably our strongest eleven.

There’s no doubt there were areas in the way we set up that were there for all to see, so hopefully we get the balance right today, set up better and play to our strengths.

Regardless, we’ll be there as always, following our team home and away, week after week. All we ask is that the players put in the same effort, commitment and desire that the supporters do!

By the way we still have our tenth anniversary badges available today at £4 each just give any of us a shout at the game today!
