Emerald A.B.C Belfast

Emerald ABC will be running a quiz night in aid of the club, taking place on Friday 4th September in Naomh Gall Social Club in Miltown Row.

There will be great prizes to be won through raffles throughout the night, finishing up with a disco to the early morning.

This October our coaches are taking on the challenge of walking from Bally castle right back to the doors of Emerald Boxing Club!

They already give so much of their own time voluntarily to create and run an environment for our future champions. Now they face a gruelling 54 miles on the feet in hopes of raising funds to help with the running costs of the club and new equipment to further develop our young athletes.

Any donation, no matter the size is greatly appreciated

New Season, New Additions!

Emerald ABC would like to express our thanks to Daniel Anderson from PPT STUDIOS for sponsoring us with a squat rack for the upcoming season.

This new addition to our S&C room will undoubtedly help boost our members strength and fitness going into this new season.

Emerald ABC extends our condolences to the McCullough family and the St.John Bosco club on the tragic loss of young Paul McCullough Jr ❤️

An extremely talented boxer, who was an absolute gentleman to know and was always a pleasure having him in the club for sparring/ training.

May He Rest In Peace 🙏

IABA is saddened by the passing of boxer, 25 year old Paul McCullough Junior.

A member of clubs including St. John Bosco Belfast and his family’s McCullagh’s ABC, Paul won his first title in 2012, and an Ulster Elite heavyweight title in 2019. In the same year Paul represented Ulster High Performance against New York and represented Ireland in a dual nations international against the Netherlands.

Paul turned pro after his 2019 success, and recorded a number of wins. Paul’s grandfather and father were both champion amateur boxers, the latter boxing out of Immaculata BC. Paul’s grandfather was a highly regarded pro and amateur coach and his father is a pro referee.

IABA extends deepest condolences to Paul’s family, club and loved ones.
