Belfast based Local Community Running Club Finish lines, not finish times!
Wednesday Night Runners (WNR), formally became a Club in November 2022 after being a community based running group for approximately 4 years. We are very passionate about making running inclusive for all. Training usually on Wednesday evening, meeting at 6:45pm for 7pm start, details always confirmed by Admin in advance. 🏃♀️💙 Weekend Round-Up! 💙🏃♂️
A quieter weekend for the club on the parkrun side of things… well, certainly as far as the running goes! 😂
However, us being us, there was of course still a PB to be had! 🎉 Massive congratulations to Deborah D, who smashed a PB at Victoria Park parkrun — amazing running! 👏👏
We had 9 runners across 4 different parkruns this weekend. Well done, folks! 💙
With the Great North Run and Belfast City Half Marathon just around the corner, our team are either getting those final long runs in or starting to taper… a lovely word! 😅🏃♀️🏃♂️
We did say it was quiet on the running side, but it certainly wasn’t quiet on the volunteering side!
💙 The Blues were out in force with a volunteer takeover at Belvoir Forest parkrun, with 21 of us out and about in the forest! 🌳👏
A massive thank you to every single one of you who volunteered — you’re absolute stars! 💙
And that’s the weekend done… we go again tomorrow night with our social run! 🏃♀️🏃♂️💙

It was another fantastic weekend of running, with PBs, long runs, race day adventures and plenty of club spirit! 💪❤️
