On Saturday the 18th July, Sandy Row FC will have our annual pre-season bus run, this season to Lisbellaw United. With players and club officials all now sorted, we're inviting anyone who would like to make the trip with us for the day out to get involved.

Contact the page, or any member of the club who will organise you a seat on the bus.

We will be leaving Sandy Row Rangers at 11am, and returning from Lisbellaw around 6. The bus trips are always fantastic days out, so don't miss out on yet another one this year! 🚌 🔴🔵

Sandy Row Football Club will begin pre season training next Tuesday, 30th June at Wedderburn Playing Fields.

The lads have enjoyed a well deserved break, and will no doubt be itching to get back at it. A gruelling, but enjoyable (for the coaching staff) schedule has been put in place and we are looking forward to getting the boys back in for it.

As always, old and new players are welcomed and encouraged. If you wish to attend pre season let a member of the club know or attend our first session on Tuesday evening, we'll be more than happy to have you 🔴🔵.

𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🏆

On Sunday past, the 2017's took part in the Andy McIllhatton Memorial tournament at Donegall Celtic for a 3rd year running.

We started the group games strongly winning 6-1 & 4-0 and ending the group games with a 0-0 draw which was enough to see us Group Winners!

Into the semi final we go, feeling confident taking on Group A runners up Carmoney. Unfortunately the 20 minute break seemed to go against us with the kids starting the Semi Final off very slowly and paid the price conceding an early goal to go 1-0 down.

As we chased a equaliser to take it to penalties and leaving one at the back we were constantly caught out, if it wasn't for JJ in nets making a few top class saves the game could have ended 3 or 4 to Carmoney. The kids battled to the end but just couldn't find the goal we needed. Final score 1-0.

The kids can hold their head high getting to the semi final in our first proper 7v7 tournament. Maybe too many chocolate donuts during the break done us 🤣.

This afternoon, some of the seniors sqaud had a pre, preseason day out at Newtonabbey Footgolf.

All the boys had a fantastic day out and against all the odds, turned up after the 18th hole with every ball that they'd tee'd off with on the 1st, despite some extremely dodgy shots, and the balls spending the majority of their journey around the course in the rough.... Although we did have one hole in one, when Jack McAfee produced a masterclass at the 4th!

To nobody's surprise, it was the coaches who came out on top, although one of them was very unhappy with his 2nd place finish and demanded a number of recounts on the scorecards 😁.

Thank you to Newtonabbey Footgolf for accommodating us today, we will definitely be back, a fantastic day out. ⚽⛳

Everyone at Sandy Row Football Club would like to wish our local World Champion, Lewis Crocker, all the best as he bids to retain his IBF Welterweight title this afternoon.

Like many of those who have followed Lewis for years, we can't unfortunately make it to Brisbane, but that won't dampen our spirits or support.

We have no doubt he will do the business again, and we will see him back in South Belfast soon, with that belt still over his shoulder.
