Rana moved to Northern Ireland in August 1997. Her son was born in November. She started looking for a job as a ballerina and realised there was little she could do, but teach ballet herself. So she registered with Royal Academy of Dance. She started teaching a few children in West Belfast ballet classes. This is how Rana's School of Ballet started.

A great start to the 2026-2027 year with some of these lovely students getting their exam certificates from June.
All the students showed hard work and determination last year and that was reflected in their fabulous results from Mr Fitch💕🩰

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy Bennett, grandfather of our student Sarina Bennett.
Jimmy was someone who loved helping people, and we will always remember his kindness and generosity towards our ballet school.
When we first moved into our studios at 24 Alfred Street in November 2021, Jimmy, together with his assistant, made the fixed ballet barres for our studio. It was such a generous contribution, made with care and a genuine desire to help our young dancers.
Those barres have been part of our studio ever since, and every time we see them, we will remember Jimmy and the wonderful way he gave his time and skills to help others.
Our thoughts are with Sarina and all of Jimmy’s family at this sad time.
Thank you, Jimmy. Your contribution to our dancers will not be forgotten. Rest in peace. 🩰❤️🙏🏼 High Points Youth Ballet
